Exclusive: Zullo Reveals Investigative Report on Obama Birth Certificate

(Sep. 24, 2024)— In October 2009, when The Post & Email was less than two months old, founder and then-Editor-in-Chief John Charlton was reporting daily, and sometimes more than once a day, his observations of an altered media narrative regarding the life of Barack Hussein Obama II, then serving as President of the United States.

On August 29, 2009, Charlton launched The Post & Email to express his concerns that Obama did not meet the Article II, Section 1, clause 5 presidential requirement of “natural born Citizen” due to reports he was born overseas.

Various articles at the time, Charlton noted, included several from the Associated Press declaring Obama “Kenyan-born” as well as having been raised in the state of Kansas, claims which were at odds with the Obama White House’s narrative that Obama was born in Honolulu, HI and spent several years in Indonesia beginning at approximately age 6.

On October 15, 2009, Charlton wrote:

What most people know is that the Associated Press (AP) is one of the largest, internationally recognized, syndicated news services.  What most people don’t know is that in 2004, the AP was a “birther” news organization.

How so?  Because in a syndicated report, published Sunday, June 27, 2004 by the Kenyan Standard Times, and which was, as of this report, available at

On Christmas Eve 2009, Charlton published an analysis constructed from publicly-available sources appearing to show that if Obama’s claimed father was Barack Hussein Obama Sr., his son was born a British citizen, casting further doubt on his asserted “natural born” status.

On February 19, 2010, Charlton reported:

In an unsigned AP report entitled “Harvard Student Tackles Racism at its Core,” which appeared on page 2, section 3, of the Chicago Herald, May 3, 1990 edition, we learn that Obama moved to Indonesia when he was two years old, contrary to the established facts that he did so in 1965, after his alleged mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian national, who had been a student at the University of Hawaii.

That article reads in part:

His passion is rooted in his background.  He was born in Hawaii, his father an Oxford- and Harvard-educated economist from the African nation of Kenya, his mother a white anthropologist from Kansas. Obama moved to Southeast Asia at age 2 when his parents divorced and his mother married an Indonesian.

For the record, it must be noted that Stanley Ann Dunham did not receive a degree in Anthropology until after Obama Junior stopped living with her, and long after meeting Obama Sr.  And Obama Sr. never attended Oxford University.

Further inconsistencies are contained in the report:

“Until the fifth grade, Obama attended Indonesian schools, where most of his friends were the sons of servants, street peddlers and farmers.  Concern for Obama’s education led his mother to return him to Hawaii, where he attended public schools through high school. In 1983, he graduated from Columbia University with a degree in political science.”

In reality, it is now known that Obama attended elementary school, for a short time, before leaving Hawaii in 1964-5; and that he attended Occidental College in California before transferring to Columbia College at Columbia University.

Despite its own contrary reporting which arguably should have led to investigations, the mainstream media unquestioningly parroted the Obama White House birth narrative. However, discrepancies persist, as in the case of a 2008 Washington Post article quoting Obama as having claimed in a campaign advertisement to have recollections of “growing up in the Kansas heartland” rather than in Hawaii and Indonesia, as the Obama White House later claimed.

Donald J. Trump Voices What Millions of Americans Want to Know

In December 2010, after a stellar 17-year career as an Army flight surgeon, LTC Terrence Lakin was court-martialed for having asked Obama to produce an original birth certificate so Lakin could be assured he was following legal orders.  After failing to deploy to Afghanistan for a second time (and third combat tour) as ordered, Lakin was arrested, tried and convicted in what observers termed an unfair proceeding, sentenced to six months in Ft. Leavenworth and discharged dishonorably.

Upon his release, he was denied a license to practice medicine by the State of Kansas, which claimed he displayed “unprofessional conduct,” a state-level felony, over his stance on Obama’s bona fides while in the Army.

During Lakin’s imprisonment, a very public, monthslong effort by then-businessman and real-estate mogul Donald J. Trump seeking Obama’s “long-form” birth certificate culminated on April 27, 2011 with the White House’s posting of an image it claimed represented Obama’s original birth record from the State of Hawaii.

Lakin would later note the timing of the image’s release in his book, “Officer’s Oath:   Why My Vow to Defend the Constitution Demanded I Sacrifice My Career.”

On March 28, 2011 as reported by Newsmax, Trump told then-Fox & Friends co-host Gretchen Carlson he was “really concerned” after she asked whether he believed Obama was born in the United States.  “Hey look, you have no doctors that remember, you have no nurses — this is the president of the United States — that remember.  That ad that was placed in the . . . paper, that was placed in the paper days after he was born — So he could have come into the country, and they did it for social reasons they put it in. They did it for whatever reason, there are a lot of reasons they could have put an ad in, but he could have been born outside of this country.”

Later on April 27 during a stop in New Hampshire while exploring a presidential run himself, Trump claimed credit for the publication of the image, stating, as reported by NPR, “Now, we have to look at it. We have to see, is it real? Is it proper? What’s on it? But I hope it checks out beautifully. I am really proud. I am really honored.”

Trump ultimately decided not to seek the presidency in 2012.  However, during the height of Obama’s re-election campaign, Trump presented him with a new challenge: that he release his passport applications and college transcripts in exchange for a $5 million donation to a charity of Obama’s choice.

The White House did not respond to Trump’s head-turning proposal.

In an apparent about-face during the final weeks of his successful 2016 campaign, Trump stated at an unveiling of a new Trump Organization hotel in the nation’s capital, “Barack Obama was born in the United States, period,” much to the media’s gloating satisfaction.

Experts Claim Forgery

Almost immediately after it was made public, a number of graphics engineers and experts declared the image a poorly-crafted forgery only to be met with media denial and purported “debunking” which continue to this day.

The Investigation

In August 2011, more than 250 Maricopa County, AZ residents approached then-Sheriff Joseph Arpaio with their concerns that if the birth-certificate image proved fraudulent in accordance with initial reports, their votes in the upcoming election would be null and void.

Unlike numerous other law enforcement officials during that time, Sheriff Arpaio adopted an unconventional approach by choosing to investigate the claims surrounding particular controversies instead of dismissing them. Expecting political pressure, Arpaio decided to commission his “Cold Case Posse” for the investigation. This specialized investigative unit included a unique blend of professionals, such as former law enforcement officers, skilled detectives, experienced criminal investigators, and attorneys. Michael Zullo led this specialized team with determination. Zullo, a former police detective, was known for his relentless pursuit of the truth and careful attention to detail. Zullo was vested with complete authority to conduct this law enforcement investigation; he managed the inquiry independently and reported exclusively to Arpaio. This authority allows the team to operate free from political interference and outside pressure.

Arpaio’s directive was explicit: to thoroughly examine the details and scrutinize the evidence, regardless of the challenges they faced, and let the evidence tell the story.  Arpaio’s decision to pursue this investigative path distinguished him from many of his colleagues, who often preferred to avoid such contentious matters.

As The Post & Email has reported, Zullo’s team concluded early in the five-year probe that the image is a “computer-generated forgery” and later, that Hawaii officials were participating in a cover-up of potentially mammoth proportions.

“Digitally Fabricated”

At a final press conference on December 15, 2016, Zullo reported that two forensic document examiners retained by the investigation examined the birth-certificate image and reached conclusions very similar to Zullo’s own.

The Post & Email can report exclusively that on December 30, 2016, Zullo sent a never-before-seen memo to Arpaio detailing the conclusions of the experts Zullo revealed at the presser two weeks earlier.

“A consensus among these qualified investigators asserts that the PDF file released by the White House on April 27, 2011, purporting to be Barack Hussein Obama II’s original 1961 birth document, is a deliberate digital falsification, constituting a criminal act of deception,” Zullo wrote in the memo.

His conclusion reads:

Investigators believe that the fraudulent vital statistics document was produced, published, and disseminated for political gain. They view this as potentially one of the most significant instances of fraud perpetrated against the American people for political motives. As a result, it is strongly advised to alert federal authorities about this serious potential criminal offense and push for an extensive congressional inquiry to uncover the complete extent of any legal and Constitutional infringements.

Following a second press conference on July 17, 2012, an FBI spokesman admitted to this writer the agency’s awareness of the birth-certificate probe and its findings but indicated anyone concerned should “contact your congressman.” 

“He Was Not Even a United States Citizen”

On September 10, 2024, former FBI special agent John DeSouza, whose background includes investigating UAPs (unidentified aerial phenomena) and writing three books on paranormal investigations, “pinned” a video to his “X” account of an interview in which he said:

In 2008, something unbelievable happened for us in the FBI.  We were getting lots of rumors about this high-level asset that worked for several intelligence agencies at the same time. He worked for the Saudi intelligence service, he worked for the CIA, and he was being developed as a political asset in Chicago, Illinois. He was not even a United States citizen, but it was said that he was a student visa [sic] and that he was a national from another country.

In 2008, everyone in the intelligence structure found out who he was. It was this individual whose name I don’t like to say who became president in 2008 — of the United States!!  One of his code names was “Renegade”; his real name was “Barry Soetoro.” But he adopted a different name for his political career.

When they ran him for president, the cabal basically – this was the culmination of so many of their plans for so many years.  His mission was to destroy the united states from within, one institution at a time.

One of the things he did, of course, was he defunded our military; he brought down the resources that they got. But then, he ordered our military, in many, many instances and in various theaters, to attack our allies and to defend and supply and help our enemies. That’s exactly how he created ISIS. He would say publicly that the military was going to bomb our enemies, but then he would have the military actually bomb enemies of ISIS, our allies. He gave ISIS funding and equipment by basically ordering our military to take equipment into a certain theater and then abandon it, and the commanders would say, “That’s ridiculous; we’d just be handing that stuff over to ISIS,” and the president’s office would say, “Don’t question orders; just follow your orders, and…”

At that point the interview is cut off.

DeSouza will be appearing at a “Mind Nexus Live” conference in Tucson, AZ September 27-29.

In the November 11, 2020 film, “A Thousand Pieces,” which draws a comparison between the presidencies of John F. Kennedy and Donald Trump, DeSouza is seen stating, “…All of these things are public, and yet, there’s still been no accountability to the CIA for all the deeds that they have done, even parts of the FBI as well…”

Brother Malik

Obama’s half-brother, Abon’go Malik Obama, has insinuated through his book, “BIG BAD BROTHER FROM KENYA,” and his “X” account that Barack Hussein Obama II has committed fraud in various ways. 

Malik Obama claims to be a “registered Republican” and a strong Trump supporter, a comment of which Trump himself took note earlier this month on TruthSocial.

On June 15, 2020, Malik posted an image suggesting Barack was born at Coast General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya with the question, “What’s this?”

An enlarged version of the image appears to show creases in the paper and alleges Barack’s birth date as August 4, 1961, the date he publicly claims he was born in Honolulu.

In response, Barack’s half-sister Auma tweeted, “So blindly consumed by jealousy and bitterness that you will go to any length to slander your younger brother’s name – literally! Just because he has outshone you in EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of his life. Secret relevance elsewhere big brother! Just because he has outshone you in EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of his life. Secret relevance elsewhere big brother!”

In a 2018 interview, however, Zullo said in regard to Obama and Hawaii, “there is no original certificate.  There never was.”

Zullo has also pointed out that on the morning of April 27, 2011, Obama reserved for himself “plausible deniability” by acknowledging the image’s unveiling but failing to hold an actual paper document in his hand to claim it as his own.

During a 2012 interview with Rick Wiles of TruNews, Zullo said of Obama, “He’s the only American president that has aliases.” Obama’s 1995 memoir, “Dreams from My Father,” Zullo said, was written “to give him a cover story for a life that never happened.  Everything about him is a story, and every document attached to him is fraught with problems.”

Trump Becomes a Target

In contrast to its lack of interest in the Obama birth certificate, in 2016 or earlier, the FBI opened an investigation into the Trump campaign alleging it was “colluding” with the Russian government to affect the results of the upcoming election.  The premise of “Crossfire Hurricane” was found to be unsupported by a 22-month probe led by Special Counsel and former FBI Director Robert S. Mueller, III with assistance from the FBI and Justice Department.

Just weeks into his term, Trump’s national security adviser, Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn (Ret), was accused of having lied to then-Vice President-Elect Mike Pence about his conversations with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Lavrov during the presidential transition period. After less than three weeks in his position, an increasingly deafening media drumbeat calling for Flynn’s resignation or firing succeeded.

Flynn’s ordeal was initiated by what he believed to be an informal visit from the FBI in the West Wing. Though Flynn pleaded “guilty,” then sought to withdraw it in another protracted series of hearings years later, Trump issued him a complete and unconditional pardon.

The persecution of Flynn was the first public manifestation of a concerted effort on the part of the media – and perhaps something more sinister – to denigrate, derail and dismember the Trump administration with false narratives, innuendo and “fake news”:

• On March 4, 2017, Trump tweeted what many viewed as an outrageous claim: that his campaign was “wire tapped” by the Obama regime. Trump’s assertions were later substantiated by investigations by Special Counsel John Durham and the House Oversight Committee.

• In 2019, Trump was impeached by the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives on a second-hand “whistleblower” report claiming he had abused his power during a phone call with newly-elected Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.  The White House was not permitted to cross-examine the House’s witnesses nor offer a defense.  Following a trial in the Republican-controlled Senate, the upper chamber lacked sufficient votes to remove Trump from office.

2020 Election

On the evening of November 3, 2020, Trump was reportedly leading Joe Biden in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Nevada by substantial margins.  Overnight, however, his lead in all four states mysteriously vanished.  Biden also reportedly edged out a very narrow margin of victory in Arizona, a call made early by Fox News still considered by many to have been premature.

On November 7, the AP reported Biden the winner of the presidential race with 306 electoral votes vs. Trump’s  232, with 270 needed to win. Biden reportedly garnered approximately 81 million votes vs. Trump’s 74 million, both of which far surpassed previous records.

“Former Vice President Joe Biden has been elected the 46th president of the United States, narrowly emerging victorious from a contentious White House campaign that stretched days past election night, as vote tallies in several swing states were slowed by an unprecedented surge in mail-in ballots,” NPR reported on November 7, 2020, sourced to data from the AP.  “Biden edged President Trump, who in the days since voting ended has falsely claimed a premature victory and baselessly said Democrats were trying to steal the election. The Trump campaign is still contesting the process in several states.”

NPR wrote that Trump’s claim of victory was born of an attempt to “delegitimize the vote-counting process” based on “unfounded conspiracies” of “widespread fraud.”

For purposes of “getting out the vote” and to “help people vote safely” during the COVID-19 pandemic, Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg poured more than $400 million from his foundation into two left-leaning non-profits, which distributed the funds to approximately 2,500 Democrat-leaning cities. 

Reported to have been “key in some 2020 elections,” such “private funding” has been outlawed in 28 states as of April 2024.

On December 8, 2020, NPR posted an article revealing Facebook to be a “financial supporter” titled, “How Private Money From Facebook’s CEO Saved The 2020 Election.”

An Admission of Fraud?

On February 4, 2021, Molly Ball, then of TIME, published an article boldly titled, “The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election” in which she wrote, in part:

…There was a conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes, one that both curtailed the protests and coordinated the resistance from CEOs. Both surprises were the result of an informal alliance between left-wing activists and business titans. The pact was formalized in a terse, little-noticed joint statement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and AFL-CIO published on Election Day. Both sides would come to see it as a sort of implicit bargain–inspired by the summer’s massive, sometimes destructive racial-justice protests–in which the forces of labor came together with the forces of capital to keep the peace and oppose Trump’s assault on democracy.

The handshake between business and labor was just one component of a vast, cross-partisan campaign to protect the election–an extraordinary shadow effort dedicated not to winning the vote but to ensuring it would be free and fair, credible and uncorrupted. For more than a year, a loosely organized coalition of operatives scrambled to shore up America’s institutions as they came under simultaneous attack from a remorseless pandemic and an autocratically inclined President. Though much of this activity took place on the left, it was separate from the Biden campaign and crossed ideological lines, with crucial contributions by nonpartisan and conservative actors. The scenario the shadow campaigners were desperate to stop was not a Trump victory. It was an election so calamitous that no result could be discerned at all, a failure of the central act of democratic self-governance that has been a hallmark of America since its founding.

Their work touched every aspect of the election. They got states to change voting systems and laws and helped secure hundreds of millions in public and private funding. They fended off voter-suppression lawsuits, recruited armies of poll workers and got millions of people to vote by mail for the first time. They successfully pressured social media companies to take a harder line against disinformation and used data-driven strategies to fight viral smears. They executed national public-awareness campaigns that helped Americans understand how the vote count would unfold over days or weeks, preventing Trump’s conspiracy theories and false claims of victory from getting more traction. After Election Day, they monitored every pressure point to ensure that Trump could not overturn the result.

A March 12, 2021 report by FGA on the impact of “Zuckerbucks” in the 2020 election states (footnotes omitted):

While data is limited due to CTCL’s unwillingness to make full reports on grant allocations and spending public, initial analysis points to Zuckerbucks having an influence on election outcomes in Arizona. On average, counties that received Zuckerbucks saw the Democratic presidential candidate’s share of the vote increase compared to the 2016 election.

For example, in Maricopa County, the only county in the state to flip in the 2020 election, President Trump increased his vote total by more than 248,000 votes yet lost the county to Biden. In 2020, Biden improved on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 vote total in the county by more than 337,000 votes. This nearly 90,000-vote difference cannot be explained by registration increases. While Democratic voter registration in Maricopa County has grown more than Republican registration since the 2016 election, the net increase was fewer than 50,000 votes and registered Republicans still outnumber registered Democrats by more than 100,000 voters. In counties that went for Biden in 2020, Zuckerbucks seem to have helped boost Democratic turnout.

January 6

Just prior to the January 6, 2021 joint session of Congress to certify the presidential election results, Trump spoke at a “Save America” rally at the Washington, DC Ellipse, making his case that large-scale voter fraud occurred on November 3 and urging his approximately one million supporters to “peacefully and patriotically” walk to the Capitol to “make your voices heard.”

Shortly after the joint session opened, however, a riot ensued, later termed an “insurrection” by Democrats and the media while extending to many citizens who committed no violence and wished to voice their objections to what they considered a corrupt election process and fraudulent results.

More than 1,000 people, whether they entered the Capitol or remained outside, were arrested, with some given prison sentences exceeding 20 years.

After the incident, the House impeached Trump a second time for allegedly “incitement of insurrection.” In February, after Trump left office, the Senate held a trial but again lacked the necessary votes to convict.

Unprecedented Raid, Criminal Charges

On August 8, 2022, Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate was raided by the FBI on a warrant claiming he mishandled classified documents after leaving office.

In November, three days after he announced he would run for president in 2024, Joe Biden’s attorney general, Merrick Garland, announced the appointment of former DOJ prosecutor Jack Smith to “oversee two ongoing criminal investigations. The first is the investigation, as described in court filings in the District of Columbia, into whether any person or entity unlawfully interfered with the transfer of power following the 2020 presidential election or the certification of the Electoral College vote held on or about January 6, 2021. The second is the ongoing investigation involving classified documents and other presidential records, as well as the possible obstruction of that investigation, referenced and described in court filings submitted in a pending matter in the Southern District of Florida.”

In June 2023, Smith unsealed a grand-jury indictment against Trump for allegedly “obstruction and unlawful retention of defense information.”

In late July 2023, Trump was indicted by Special Counsel Jack Smith with four criminal charges for allegedly “working to overturn the results of the 2020 election in the run-up to the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.”

In July 2024, a federal judge ruled Smith’s appointment unconstitutional, a finding Smith has appealed.

Given the U.S. Supreme Court’s July 1 ruling on the existence of presidential immunity for “official acts” of a president, on August 27 Smith issued a revised indictment on four criminal counts of “conspiracy to defraud the United States” and “obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding,” among others.

New York Convictions

On May 30, Trump was convicted by a Manhattan jury on 34 counts of falsifying business documents relating to an alleged affair nearly two decades before, a claim he denies.  Despite the Supreme Court’s immunity ruling and the inclusion of protected information during the trial, Interim Judge Juan Merchan delayed sentencing scheduled for September 18 until after the election.

Merchan is a Democrat whose daughter fundraises for Democrats, including Kamala Harris, Joe Biden and very vocal first impeachment accuser Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA30).

Assassination Attempts

On July 13, 2024, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks climbed onto the roof of a building in broad daylight in close proximity to the Butler, PA location where Trump was holding a campaign rally and very nearly succeeded in assassinating him.  Tragically, a retired firefighter was killed as he sought to shield his family from the rain of bullets; two others were seriously injured but survived.

Congressional lawmakers continue to seek answers from the U.S. Secret Service as to how the assassin, who was reportedly shot dead by an agent with a single shot, escaped detection, resulting in the most significant security failure “in decades.”

Former Secret Service agent and NYPD officer Dan Bongino, now a commentator and program host, spoke at an August 26 congressional hearing and portended July 13 would not be the “last incident.”

Bongino Proven Right

On September 15, would-be assassin Ryan Wesley Routh aimed a rifle through the fence at Trump International Golf Course in Palm Beach County, where Trump was golfing that Sunday afternoon.  According to information released by the prosecution Monday as reported by CNN, “Routh was in the area of Trump’s golf course and the former president’s Mar-a-Lago residence across multiple days in the month before he was arrested and had a Google search of how to travel from Florida to Mexico in one of his phones. Routh also had a handwritten list of dates and venues where Trump has or was expected to appear in the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election.”

Questions Persist

Did the government-spawned plots over nearly a decade intended to thwart, demonize, impugn and disqualify Trump arise from his overt questioning of Obama’s background?  

In light of those machinations, is it implausible to think that the same cast of characters would not have created a forgery to conceal a deep, dark secret which Zullo reported is actually an “open” one?

Did the forgery set the stage for all the other false narratives which followed and the continual gaslighting of the American people?
