Hannity: “Deep State Operatives” Spied on Trump Campaign

SAYS DOJ & FBI OFFICIALS “LIED TO THE JUDGES”

(Jul. 23, 2018) — In his opening monologue on Monday evening, Fox News commentator Sean Hannity said that it is now “confirmed” that “Deep State operatives” used the now-infamous Christopher Steele Trump-Russia dossier to “spy” on the 2016 presidential campaign of Donald J. Trump.

Citing examples of published mainstream news articles, Hannity said that those who signed warrant applications for surveillance on short-term Trump campaign adviser Carter Page “lied to the judges” on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC).

Former FBI Director James Comey has both said that the contents of the dossier were “salacious and unverified” and also “part of a broader mosaic of facts” provided to the court, which is not borne out by the Saturday night release of 412 heavily-redacted pages indicating the the Steele dossier was the foundation of the government’s case against Page, who was known to have conducted business in Russia and given a speech there in 2016.

Hannity pointed out that on May 1, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein emphasized during a speaking engagement that a high standard is used to request a surveillance warrant.  Rosenstein signed one of the warrant requests to gather Page’s communications.

Others signing warrant applications were former Deputy Attorney General Sally Q. Yates, Comey, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, and current FBI Special Counsel/former U.S. Attorney Dana Boente.

Carter Page has denied having been an “agent of a foreign power” or a target of the Russian government, as was alleged in the warrant applications.

“The FISA court was purposely misled on a lot of fronts,” Hannity said.  “James Comey lied about the dossier’s role” in the warrant application process, Hannity further contended.

As The Post & Email wrote on Saturday, despite the FBI and DOJ having claimed that probable cause existed to believe Page was allegedly violating federal statutes in 2016, he has never been charged with a crime.

At 9:14 p.m., Hannity segued into news made earlier on Monday when White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders announced from the podium that Trump is considering revoking the security clearances of six Obama-era officials to include former CIA Director John Brennan and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

Hannity claimed that the Russia “collusion” investigation, led by Robert Mueller for the last 14 months after being launched by the FBI, is the most significant political scandal in U.S. history.  He railed that the dossier “was never verified, never  corroborated.”

Another political scandal which neither Hannity nor anyone in the mainstream media will cover is the uploading of an image of a “long-form” birth certificate bearing the name “Barack Hussein Obama II” in April 2011 which was reported by a criminal investigator to be a proven “computer-generated forgery.”

Although the faulty image claims Obama was born in Honolulu, HI on August 4, 1961, in a speech at the opening of a foundation launched by his half-sister in Kogelo, Kenya on July 16, Obama said he is “from Kenya,” as many Americans have suspected given previous mainstream reportage stating as much.

The U.S. Constitution requires that the president be a “natural born Citizen,” which all Americans understand precludes naturalized citizens or those with foreign citizenship from serving in that capacity.

As the Mueller investigation has unfolded, Trump has said that his campaign was the subject of “spying” and the Russia probe a “witch hunt.” He was also the first prominent American to raise the public consciousness as to the questions about Obama’s eligibility in 2011.
