HOW WILL OBAMA BE RECEIVED THIS YEAR?
by Sharon Rondeau
(Apr. 28, 2012) — The annual White House Correspondents’ Association annual dinner will be held this evening featuring “late-night comic Jimmy Kimmel,” who, in addition to Obama himself, has made jokes about Obama’s long-form birth certificate, now classified as a “computer-generated forgery” by a law enforcement entity in Arizona. Kimmel’s audience will include “the assembled Washington press corps, the nation’s political leaders and assorted celebrities.”
This year is the 98th such dinner of the Association.
Glenn Thrush, a writer for Politico, received “honorable mention” “for the quality and breadth of his reporting and the clarity of his writing.”
None of the recipients is apparently “under pressure” to report on the probable forgery which Obama released last year. Jake Tapper of ABC News only contradicted Obama on Obama’s claimed importance of his “birth certificate” story in relation to other news items of that week. Jake Tapper was also a recipient of an award last year.
Award recipient Carrie Budoff Brown appears to have said nothing about it.
Kimmel has joked about teenagers ingesting hand sanitizer with actor John Cusack and plans to “mock politicians” this evening. Kimmel contends that an abundance of “stupid comments” are being made during the political season under way and reportedly plans to aim his “jokes” at Republicans, whether or not they are candidates for office. Kimmel describes Obama as a “cool character” and not the brunt of his jokes.
As Obama prepared to take the lectern, the song “I Am a Real American” was played. Several projection screens reflected the activity throughout the room. Followed by scenes depicting cowboys, Uncle Sam, Super Heroes figures, Mt. Rushmore, a bald eagle, boxers, baseball players, and the purported birth certificate, Obama greeted the audience with “My fellow Americans…Mahalo [means “thank you” in Hawaiian]. It is wonderful to be here at the White House Correspondents’ dinner. What a week! As some of you heard, the state of Hawaii released my official long-form birth certificate. Hopefully, this puts all doubts to rest, but just in case there are any lingering questions, tonight, I’m prepared to go a step further. Tonight, for the first time, I am releasing my official birth video.” Laughter followed, then Obama said, “No one has seen this footage in 50 years, not even me.” Scenes from the animated movie “The Lion King” are then shown with the date “4 AUG 1961” and the time “7:24” below it.
Then-Defense Secretary Robert Gates is shown in the audience following the movie clip. Obama acknowledged that some people consider him “arrogant,” and that “the honeymoon is over” in regard to his putative presidency He then called out actor Matt Damon for being “disappointed in my performance.” A video spoof on Obama presumably speaking without his teleprompter is then played, later depicting Obama as an actor. Obama ends the segment by saying, “Coming to a theater near you.”
Obama then thanked members of the military for their actions to “defend our freedoms and allow democracy to flourish.”
A British reporter gave a serious account of the 2011 Correspondents’ dinner, including an explanation as to why Obama released his long-form birth certificate.
Last year’s comedic guest was Seth Meyers, who told Obama that the “2008 Barack Obama” could have beaten him in 2012. He said that Obama looked older than in 2008 and that “if your hair gets any whiter, the Tea Party is going to endorse it.” Meyer also said, “…Now everyone’s leaving: Axelrod, Gibbs, Rahm Emanuel. By this time next year, it will be just you and Joe Biden trying to find toner for the copying machine.”
Since then, Reggie Love, William Daley, and Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who stated that “America is losing its grip,” have left the Obama regime. Timothy Geithner had expressed a desire to leave but has not. Hillary Clinton has stated that she is leaving her position as Secretary of State in January regardless of who wins the election.
Also at last year’s dinner, Obama “joked” about Donald Trump as Trump sat in the audience, ultimately depicting the White House as a golf club, resort and spa complete with people dressed in beachwear and drinking alcohol on the front lawn. Some versions of the video have eliminated the footage containing the mockery of the White House as it allegedly would appear, at least to Obama, if Trump were to occupy it. Earlier that month, Trump had issued a call for Obama to release his long-form birth certificate to put to rest the doubts surrounding his story of a birth in Hawaii, stating, “Obama’s presidency may be the greatest scam in the history of the United States.”
Following the release of the image on April 27, 2011, Trump gave a press conference, stating that he would “look at it,” but then fell silent on the issue. Following the March 1, 2012 press conference at which Obama’s documentation was announced to have been determined “computer-generated,” Mike Zullo, the lead investigator, had reported that numerous journalists had told his team that they had received threats to deter them from reporting on the birth certificate authenticity question. Other reports state that major news companies were threatened with FCC audits if they chose to publicize the controversy.
Whether or not Obama is constitutionally eligible for the presidency is now only one question many Americans are asking following the Cold Case Posse’s determination that not only his long-form birth certificate, but also his Selective Service registration card is a forgery not originating with a paper document. Obama has been accused of using a stolen Social Security number, fabricating his life story, and using an alias to run for public office. An Alabama Supreme Court Justice has stated that Obama’s documentation is insufficient to prove his eligibility and that the “charges of ‘forgery’ demonstrate legitimate cause for concern.”
One analyst called the image a “Frankenstein certificate.”
News reports of the March 1, 2012 press conference held by Sheriff Joe Arpaio and the Cold Case Posse are disappearing from the internet.
Obama is noticeably grayer than he was last year and his popularity has reportedly fallen. The White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner is the only item on his schedule today. During the past week, however, Obama has taken the opportunity to “ridicule” and misquote others, as Saul Alinsky taught him to do.
At a “pre-WHCA” event on Friday evening, “journalist” Savannah Guthrie, reportedly the only person to receive a copy of Obama’s birth certificate following the press conference last year upon it release, was “also spotted.”
Will Obama joke about the probable cause of forgery regarding his “birth certificate” and Selective Service file this evening? And what about the charges of treason which have gone unanswered for more than three years? Is Obama “a real American?”
