Jones Claims DOJ Targeting; “Obama Laundered Money”

(Jul. 24, 2025) — On Wednesday afternoon, “Infowars” broadcaster and host of The Alex Jones Show Alex Jones posted a live video in which he stated he has not produced a live show for the past several days due to meetings to which he was summoned in Washington, DC.

As of press time, the video has approximately 494,100 views.

According to Wikipedia, Jones’s show “is the longest-running online news and politics talk show” in existence.

Following the December 14, 2012 shootings of 20 schoolchildren and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, Jones expressed doubt that the reported event was authentic and was sued for defamation by a number of the victims’ parents.

After years of litigation, Jones was ordered to pay more than $1 billion to the Connecticut plaintiffs, which Jones appealed and has not paid.

The parents of Jesse Lewis, Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis, also later sued Jones in Travis County, Texas and were awarded $50 million plus punitive damages, which Jones appealed.

The judgments prompted Jones to file for bankruptcy in 2022, which remains pending.

In a dramatic November 2024 broadcast, Jones reported that the imminent forced auction of Infowars to The Onion to satisfy his creditors was halted by a federal judge.

He was in touch with “Trump and Musk” about the matter, Jones said at the time, claiming the sale was “all rigged.”

In Wednesday’s video, Jones described the legal actions against him as being brought by “the Democrats.” He recounted, however, that recent judicial opinions have been rendered in his favor, which includes a late May ruling in Texas reducing the $50 million judgment.

“The reason I’m not on air is there’ve been a bunch of developments this morning in the Democrats’ ongoing lawfare operation,” Jones said in Wednesday’s video…As you know, in the last year we’ve been winning in federal and state court. [The] Texas appeals court, run by Democrats, said the case was so bad they’re looking to overturn the judgment, the whole Sandy Hook thing…they are so scared — I’ve learned a bunch of developments — the big thing I can tell you is — this all happened today — Doug Emhoff, the husband of Kamala Harris, himself has officially taken over their lawfare operations against me. So, that’s where we are right now; that’s what I’m dealing with…I was first targeted by the ‘Crossfire Hurricane’ operation before they called it ‘Crossfire Hurricane’ in 2013, and I released those NSA documents we got from federal whistleblowers and Judge Arpaio — Sheriff Arpaio — in 2017, and now this is officially part of a big criminal investigation that the task force in the Justice Department is going after: the ‘treasonous conspiracy’ taskforce…”

On January 27, Emhoff was made a partner at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. “Mr. Emhoff’s practice will focus on advising corporations, boards of directors, and individuals on their most consequential business challenges, sensitive investigations, and complex litigation, including matters with significant reputational concerns that are international in scope, and emerging legal issues across industries and sectors,” the firm’s website states. “He will split his time between Los Angeles and New York.”

“In a Monday filing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, plaintiffs from multiple suits seeking to collect from Jones requested the counsel of attorney Deanna Drenga, of the New York law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher – where former Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, serves as partner,” an article published at Infowars Wednesday states.

“Crossfire Hurricane” is the name the FBI assigned to its investigation of the 2016 Trump campaign on the premise there was “collusion” between certain Trump advisors and the Kremlin to obtain a favorable election result. In a striking development, on Friday Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard issued a press release, report and memo which she said showed a “treasonous conspiracy” among Barack Obama; his director of national intelligence, James Clapper; his CIA director, John Brennan; advisor Susan Rice; FBI Director James Comey and others to create the “Russia” narrative using the U.S. intelligence apparatus in order to undermine the ability of President-Elect Donald J. Trump to govern.

Investigations of those allegations, two impeachments and biased media reporting clouded Trump’s presidency, with The New York Times and Washington Post being awarded Pulitzer prizes for reporting later shown to be based on false premises stemming from leaks by members of the intelligence community, according to Gabbard’s documentation.

Jones’s reference to “Sheriff Arpaio” is to an investigation former Maricopa, AZ County Sheriff Joseph Arpaio conducted after a former government subcontractor, Dennis Montgomery, in 2013 approached Arpaio with the claim that certain entities of the federal government, including the NSA and CIA, were conducting illegal surveillance on thousands, and perhaps millions, of Americans, including in Maricopa County.

Jones and Trump were reportedly among those surveilled.

Concerned about the ramifications for his constituents, Arpaio hired Montgomery as a confidential informant to organize the documentation he claimed to have of the surveillance.

As The Post & Email has reported, data Montgomery saved on 47 hard drives provided to Arpaio after approximately eight months of work was declared inauthentic by three former NSA officials who served as analysts at Arpaio’s request.

The “task force” to which Jones referred in his video is a “strike force” the Justice Department announced Wednesday would be organized to investigate Gabbard’s allegations.

“Today, the Department of Justice announced the formation of a Strike Force to assess the evidence publicized by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and investigate potential next legal steps which might stem from DNI Gabbard’s disclosures,” the announcement states, in part. “This Department takes alleged weaponization of the intelligence community with the utmost seriousness.”

The “Strike Force Model,” the DOJ states on its website, “consists of interagency teams made up of investigators and prosecutors that focus on the worst offenders engaged in fraudulent activities, including, chiefly, health care fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud, money laundering offenses, violations of the Anti-Kickback Statute, false statements offenses, Title 42 offenses, Title 26 offenses, and Title 21 offenses, in the highest intensity regions.  The Strike Force Model uses advanced data analysis techniques to identify aberrant billing levels in health care fraud “hot spots”—cities with high levels of billing fraud—combined with traditional investigative techniques to target suspicious billing patterns as well as emerging schemes and fraudulent practices that migrate from one community to another.”

Also on Wednesday, Gabbard’s office published a second press release repeating the claim of a “treasonous conspiracy led by President Obama and his national security team, including James Clapper, John Brennan, and James Comey, to manipulate and manufacture intelligence that promoted a contrived false narrative falsely claiming: ‘Putin aspired to help President-elect Trump’s election chances, when possible, by discrediting Secretary Clinton.’”

Years after Montgomery’s data was reported to be of no value, one of the three former NSA analysts, J. Kirk Wiebe, changed his position, staunchly defending Montgomery’s credibility but lacking evidence to support it.

“So, I may not be able to be on the air in the next few days because I probably — I’ve been asked to go to DC right now again; I’ve been on the phone with all these people — the White House, the DOJ today…,” Jones said in the video.

“Here’s what happened, and the bad guys already know this: they covered up pretty good a lot of the stuff they did to Trump and his family, though that’s coming out, but they really messed up on me and they got real sloppy in the worst(?) Justice Department. They funded DOJ funding through the lawsuits against me, and that’s [il]legal, and they laundered the money as well; we put the evidence of that out last week. So this is huge, and we know Obama used those charities…to launder money…and we have insiders that have reached out; I’ll stop there. Whistleblowers are coming in all over the place, and so thank God justice is coming. Their house of cards is falling, but they’re also extremely desperate right now…”
