(Nov. 15, 2024) — As of 12:24 p.m. EST, broadcaster Alex Jones is reporting that the “auction” which his attorneys were told took place Thursday of his longstanding “Infowars” platform did not, in fact, occur and that a federal judge shut it down this morning.
“The Onion,” a satirical website, was reportedly awarded the Infowars brand name and website.
The government’s attempted “takeover,” Jones said, though halted, is said to be succeeding in “cutting the power off.”
“We’ve been anticipating this…we’re in a historic moment,” he said at 12:27 p.m.
His new studio is opening today, he said, as he did on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” on Thursday.
Mainstream media has not yet updated yesterday’s reporting to reflect the new development with the exception of Variety and CNN.
“A judge has put satirical news company The Onion’s purchase of Alex Jones‘ Infowars site on hold pending a hearing to review the sale,” CNN wrote Friday. “Judge Christopher Lopez of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Houston cited concerns about the transparency of the deal soon after the surprise announcement regarding the future of the Infowars site founded by the conspiracy theorist.”
The outlet was to be auctioned to satisfy Jones’s creditors arising out of his 2022 bankruptcy filing. Following trials in Texas and Connecticut brought by the families of the December 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Newtown, CT, Jones was ordered to pay nearly $1 billion in damages.
His transgression was “falsely claiming they (victims’ parents) were actors who faked the tragedy,” Reuters reported in October 2022.
Lopez took the bench in 2019, his biography at the National Bankruptcy Conference states.
“There was no auction; it’s all fake,” Jones exclaimed at 12:55 p.m. EST.
“Trump and Musk have already met about this,” he said, “…because they didn’t understand that this was going on.”
He said he told Musk and Trump the auction process was “all rigged.”
“…so the big dogs did not enter this,” he continued, describing the procedure as a “private sale masquerading” as an auction.
“We literally caught ’em…it’s the Holy Spirit…it’s powerful and it’s all God. So that’s where we are,” Jones said.
“Trump’s going to really drain the swamp,” he concluded the segment at 12:57 p.m. “Infowars is back in Alex Jones’s ownership.”
