(Oct. 30, 2021) — During the 7:00 AM hour of Saturday’s “Fox & Friends,” co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy invoked “early treatment” and that the drug ivermectin “can prevent COVID.”

Since the announcement of a world COVID-19 “pandemic” in early March 2020, there has noticeably been very little in the mainstream news about prophylactics or early treatment regimens for which a number of physicians, almost all of whom have been banned from social media, have advocated.

After then-President Donald Trump promoted the use of hydroxychloroquine as both a treatment and prophylactic against the virus early last year, the media demonized it and censored anyone supportive of it. In June 2020, the FDA withdrew its Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the use of hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19 based, at least in part, on an article in The Lancet, considered the premier medical journal, which relied on faulty information and was retracted.

Dr. “Zev” Zelenko, a COVID-19 and cancer survivor who has been treating patients with hydroxychloroquine since the earliest days of the disease outbreak in the U.S., included the drug in his protocols and was banned from social media last year.

Trump later threw his support behind “Operation Warp Speed,” which, although established to produce “vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics,” concentrated exclusively on vaccines, which many governors and health departments have now mandated for healthcare and public-service workers.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio recently did away with the option for public employees to undergo weekly COVID-19 testing in lieu of vaccination. In August, de Blasio mandated that all restaurant, health club and other indoor patrons be vaccinated for COVD-19 to “defeat the Delta variant.”

Ivermectin is one element of early treatment, according to Dr. Peter A. McCullough, MD, MPH, and the group Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC). In contrast, the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has discouraged the use of ivermectin for the virus, suggesting it is used only for animals and the use by humans is toxic.

Ivermectin has been demonized elsewhere with inaccurate reporting, censorship, and reliance upon the FDA’s questionable August 21, 2021 tweet which several investigative journalists recently revealed was part of a public-engagement campaign they termed “propaganda.”

Campos-Duffy’s comments arose during a discussion about COVID-19 vaccine mandates, which will reportedly cause approximately 20% of first-responders, trash-collectors and other public servants in New York City to lose their jobs as of Monday.

The segment begins at the 5:20 mark.

COVID-19 vaccines have been proven not to stop transmission of the virus, indicating that those vaccinated can harbor the disease despite having received “full” protection. Many of those vaccinated have been hospitalized with severe illness.

The shots are suspected to have initiated more than 800,000 adverse events and more than 17,000 deaths, according to the U.S. government database known as VAERS as of October 22.

A number of attorneys and physicians claim the numbers are likely much higher.

“Pileups” of trash are appearing in the city, Ashley Strohmier reported for the Fox & Friends segment. She replayed a segment from Shannon Bream’s 11:00 p.m. broadcast in which NYPD Sergeant Joe Imperatrice remarked, “It’s crazy how about a year ago, we had McDonald’s handing out free meals to our essential workers and ticket-day parades, but now all of a sudden they’re being villainized. We see it in the last week and a half with the garbage sitting curbside. Now just imagine, not just the sanitation, but with fires: if there’s no firemen to be able to cover a certain area, the damage it can cause…”

“This is all so insane,” Campos-Duffy commented after the conclusion of Strohmier’s report, “and when do these people in New York just say, ‘Enough’? I want to feel bad for the people in New York, but there’s a part of me that doesn’t because they keep putting up with this.”

“You had people…refusing to leave their apartment,” co-host Pete Hegseth observed, “while these sanitation workers continued to work…and they worked every single day, and now they’re the bad guys…”

Co-host Will Cain recounted his recent appearance with Brian Kilmeade, host of “Primetime” and co-host of the weekday “Fox & Friends,” with Andrew Ansbro, a New York City firefighter who said, “It is going to be next to impossible to keep the same level of service up in New York City. From what I understand, there are already firehouses closing due to staffing shortage. For the last several months, we’ve had firefighters working more than 24 hours, three tours and four tours, just to keep firehouses open. This staffing crisis that’s going on right now is only going to be exacerbated. There have been several firehouses closed over the last few days because they just can’t keep the doors open. If they send a third of the firefighters home on Monday, you’re going to see a very different fire department.”

“…These vaccine mandates and those that push them — they are creating a public health crisis,” Cain remarked in response. “They are not replacing one; they are creating one. The latest article in The Lancet, by the way, is the vaccines do not stop the spread of the Delta variant. They may help with severity; they do not stop transmission of the Delta variant. So who is causing a public health crisis, the mandate, or — ?”

Cain’s assertions and those of The Lancet are supported by Dr. Peter A. McCullough, who has said the original “alpha” version of COVID has mutated and been replaced by “Delta,” against which the vaccines are powerless.

An October 29, 2021 article in The Lancet begins, “The SARS-CoV-2 delta (B.1.617.2) variant is highly transmissible and spreading globally, including in populations with high vaccination rates. We aimed to investigate transmission and viral load kinetics in vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals with mild delta variant infection in the community.”

“Vaccination reduces the risk of delta variant infection and accelerates viral clearance,” the article further states. “Nonetheless, fully vaccinated individuals with breakthrough infections have peak viral load similar to unvaccinated cases and can efficiently transmit infection in household settings, including to fully vaccinated contacts. Host–virus interactions early in infection may shape the entire viral trajectory.”

“So cracking down publicly on vaccine status doesn’t actually affect whether or not the virus spreads,” Hegseth said. “Really, what it does then back to [sic] is personal responsibility and your own choice about whether you have natural immunity or you want the vaccine yourself.”

“And by the way, let’s not forget: there are early treatments, and also, there are studies on ivermectin that are now showing that it actually can prevent COVID, so that’s something people need to look at as well,” Campos-Duffy said.

According to the FLCCC Alliance:

We regard ivermectin as a core medication in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. For comprehensive information on ivermectin please refer to our Review of the Emerging Evidence Supporting the Use of Ivermectin in the Prophylaxis and Treatment of COVID-19 and the included references.

The Safety of Ivermectin – High Doses

Many have questions about the safety of higher doses of this medicine for treatment after exposure or in-hospital critical care circumstances.   See our Ivermectin Safety Overview. A recent paper, Ivermectin for Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19 Infection: A Systematic Review, Meta-analysis, and Trial Sequential Analysis to Inform Clinical Guidelines was published online June 17, 2021, by the American Journal of Therapeutics. It concludes, “Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally.”

McCullough has said ivermectin is part of a protocol that patients with COVID-19 should “demand.” “Ivermectin is a human drug.  It’s used and approved for treatment of scabies and other parasitic infections, but it’s been found in COVID-19 that it blocks nuclear entry of the virus into the human nucleus as well as helps block some of the effects of the spike protein, and there are 69 supportive studies, 31 randomized trials, all showing, when used early, in combination with other drugs, reduces the severity of disease and importantly, reduces mortality…Ivermectin has strong support; it’s disappointing to see misinformation coming from the media and other government sources.”

Publications at the National Institute of Health’s National Library of Medicine appear to support McCullough’s claim.

The FDA continues to maintain, using the same photo of a woman with a horse displayed in its August 21 tweet, that “The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19 in people or animals. Ivermectin has not been shown to be safe or effective for these indications.”

  1. Hi Sharon,

Your post is very pertinent about hydroxychloroquine and the safety of ivermectin.

Dr. Simone Gold, founder of the Frontline Doctors, spoke about her preference for hydroxychloroquine as prophylaxis and also the efficacy of ivermectin as a therapeutic for those who may be sick.

She spoke on October 29, 2021 at Calvary Chapel. Her talk on her Rumble page is titled The Uncensored Truth Tour: Time To Make A Stand – Godspeak Calvary Chapel
