(Apr. 6, 2021) — On two occasions in an April 1, 2021 interview with Flashpoint‘s Gene Bailey, Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn (Ret) asserted there was foreign interference in the November 3 presidential election.
The first invocation of the claim came after the 21:00 mark and asserted that more than one country was involved, with the “principal” one being “China.”
Flynn, who served as President Donald Trump’s first national-security adviser and was forced to resign due to the appearance that he had been dishonest with Vice President Mike Pence about his conversations with the Russians, had made a similar statement in December as he anticipated a report from the U.S. intelligence community on December 18 in accordance with Executive Order 13848.
Beginning in 2017, Flynn was prosecuted by the Justice Department for allegedly lying to the FBI. Under Attorney General William P. Barr, a U.S. attorney assigned to investigate the case determined that the charge was not substantiated by the evidence and, in fact, that evidence had been improperly withheld from the defense. Although Flynn had pleaded “guilty, ” he moved to withdraw the plea, and Justice later moved to withdraw the charge. Nevertheless, U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan appeared unwilling to dismiss the case, which concluded in late November when Flynn received a pardon from Trump.
The intelligence-community report on foreign interference in the election was delayed until mid-March and impacted by “politics” in regard to China’s role, according to Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe in a letter to Congress in early January, accompanied by a report from the IC “analytic ombudsman” making the assertion.
The March IC report contains a “minority view” which maintained that China “took at least some steps to undermine former President Trump’s reelection chances, primarily through social media and official public statements and media.”
For his own part, in mid-December Ratcliffe told CBS News’s Catherine Herridge that China, Iran and Russia interfered in the 2020 U.S. elections.
Also appearing on the Flashpoint video were “innovator” Lance Wallnau, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, entrepreneur and radio show host Clay Clark, and Pastor Hank Kunneman. Lindell has released two videos which he claims explain how the election was “stolen” from Trump.
The Flashpoint broadcast begins with Bailey enumerating several lawsuits stemming from the election which remain active despite most courts’ initial refusals to schedule oral arguments. “…Now that Joe Biden is illegitimately situated in the White House and Trump has dropped his own legal challenges, courts in Michigan, Wisconsin and Virginia are beginning to rule the way widespread absentee balloting was handled in these states violated their own state laws,” Bailey said.
Bailey referenced a suit filed by former Kansas attorney general Phill Kline, now of The Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society, challenging Facebook’s distribution of “hundreds of millions of dollars” to a little-known organization, the Center for Tech and Civic Life, the money from which was “routed to local election officials in key battleground states,” Bailey said, and “might have unlawfully influenced the election.”
“None of this litigation is going to pry Joe Biden out of the White House,” Bailey continued, “but our concerns right now should be this battle over how elections will be governed in the future.” He argued that HR 1, passed in the House and under consideration by the U.S. Senate in its own version of the bill, would institutionalize the irregularities currently being litigated.
In a segue to Clark, Bailey said Trump-style “rallies” will be returning in the form of an event Clark organized for April 16-17 in Tulsa, OK focusing on “election fraud and medical fraud.”
Flynn, Attys. Sidney Powell and Lin Wood, Lindell, and “America’s Frontline Doctors” co-founder Dr. Simone Gold will be featured speakers, Clark said, as well as a number of Christian pastors. While the event will be held in person, he said, it will also be live-streamed at Rhema TV and Brighteon.
Flashpoint will cover the event live, Bailey added.
At approximately 13:30, Bailey introduced Flynn, asking him to elaborate on “what happened at the end of November third.”
“What I would call the ‘hard left’ in our country is working overtime to dismantle our Constitution and our constitutional republic,” Flynn responded. “…This is a very, very serious time; we are facing a transition in our country,” he said, from the “experiment in democracy” to what he sees as the institutionalization of “socialism, Marxism, communism.”
“It is a massive, major transition point in the United States of America, and I will tell you that the people of this country believe in their hearts, and they know, and even the other side, I guess, if you will, knows…I guarantee that there is a lot of buyer’s remorse out there in the country,” Flynn said.
He then repeated a claim Lindell has made during recent interviews and his video productions: that Trump received “80 million” votes and Biden approximately “66 million.” “I think those numbers are pretty clear,” Flynn said without elaborating.
He said he believes the Pledge of Allegiance should be stressed and that pastors and other community leaders should establish “uninterrupted communication” within their spheres of influence. He suggested churches live-stream Clark’s upcoming Tulsa conference and foster discussion about it among their congregants. “Our country…is about our faith, and really, who we are as faithful people,” Flynn said. “Our Constitution…was built on faith; it was built on the Bible.”
He suggested “more people of faith” should seek political office to repair a “broken” system.
Transitioning back at 21:15 to the 2020 election, Flynn said, “We know it was fraudulent; we know that there was massive foreign interference; we have a number of countries, but the principal country that interfered in this election was China…They don’t like me talking about it because they know I know.”
Flynn served as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) under Obama from 2012 to 2014, when he was reportedly “fired.” During a meeting following the November 2016 election, Obama reportedly told Trump he believed Flynn was not well-suited to the role of national-security adviser in addition to counseling Trump to beware of the threat from North Korea.
In December, The Blaze quoted Flynn’s comments made during his appearance on “Justice with Judge Jeanine” following his pardon:
I must have put the fear of God into Barack Obama and still do because of this long four-year saga they put me, my family through, President Donald J. Trump, his family, and frankly the entire country. One of these days, I’ll lay it out…When he chose me to be the national security advisor they knew that their little plan of spying on Donald Trump would fall apart and many other foreign policy blunders they got our country into, whether it was the Iran deal, issues going on in the Asian-pacific theater, trade, all sorts of issues that were in play that the last administration did to frankly run this country right into the ground.
Continuing his remarks to Bailey, Flynn said he is “not about to stop fighting” and is asking the “religious community” to “stop sitting around and talking about it” and to find ways “to stand and do something about it.”
Following appearances by the other guests as well as a reporter stationed at the southern border in Texas, at 47:10, Bailey again called on Flynn, asking him to comment on the border situation. In addition to some illegal aliens voting in U.S. elections, Flynn said, “illegal immigration…is a national security issue” affecting the economy, the educational system, and healthcare. However, he said, “it is a manageable problem,” citing Trump’s efforts to stem the flow of illegal aliens by instituting unprecedented policies.
“I know…that our constitution will not be saved in Washington, DC,” he told Bailey, and encouraged more women to become involved in politics.
Transitioning to the Biden White House, Flynn said, “…there are so many things that are being thrown at the American people right now…because they know, the hard left, they know they got caught on the third of November; and they know that there was a massive foreign interference against our country, a foreign attack of our election integrity, of our election system by a foreign entity, and that entity is China; I mean, there’s no ifs, ands or buts, and that’s going to be proven out in the days and weeks ahead, and the one thing about the truth is that it always comes out.”
On December 13, The Post & Email reported of Flynn’s appearance that day on Maria Bartiromo’s “Sunday Morning Futures”:
Rather than speaking about his own ordeal first, Flynn said, “We have conclusive evidence of foreign interference in our elections, and it’s available to the public right now at defendingtherepublic.org or kraken-wood.com,” referring to two websites established or co-established by Atty. Sidney Powell, who represented Flynn during the latter half of his case.
Flynn went on to say that Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe is set to issue a report on Friday “on a whole range of issues.” “If he does the duty that I think he is very capable of doing and the intelligence community provides a clear, unfiltered assessment, then they’re going to discover that…”
After Flynn spoke for the second time, Bailey turned to Lindell to ask, “Just what have you found about China?” and Lindell responded:
What we’ve found is they were over 60% of the attack, of the cyberattack came from IP addresses in China. And we have also — we’ve had a team — it’s not my team but another team that I’m well aware of that went over there and validated the IP address and the IDs of the computers and were over there in China that this cyberattack…
He said a forthcoming “documentary,” “Absolute Interference,” is “all about this China attack and what they could do. You need a supercomputer to do this, but you also need all these machines to be able to set these algorithms…”
As The Post & Email has reported, Lindell has advanced various explanations as to the outcome of the presidential election, including that of Dr. Douglas G. Frank, who maintains that a preset algorithm using the 2010 census was deployed against Trump’s massive popularity to produce what appeared to be a Biden “win” based on an actual number of paper ballots.
