“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ the place to hear it here first. ‘Pulse’ received a record number of congratulations for the recent editorial when Madam Shylock put forth the suggestion that the Salem Witch Hunt and the Pelosi Trumpster Hunt are based on the same set of circumstances, namely rumor, innuendo and lies. Back by popular demand is Madam Shylock who will explain it all.”
“Hello, Professor Zorkophsky, and thank you for the invite.”
“Please, Madam Shylock, call me ‘Zork’; I believe it makes for a more relaxing atmosphere.”
“Okay, Zork it shall be. I first noticed the symptoms of disconnect the day Trump annihilated Hillary. But then after some in-depth research, I realized the Trump-Hillary election wasn’t about Trump vs. Hillary or Republican vs. Democrat, or even Democracy vs. Socialism; it was about the soul of our country, which was a sorrowful awakening.”
“I can understand the sorrow.”
“You bet, knowing we’re raising a generation that believes the lies that Pelosi’s been dishing out for over three decades: FREE, FREE, FREE, but she never mentions that taxes go UP, UP, UP.”
“So why send our kids away to become stupid?”
“You’re the professor; you should know.”
“I do, believe me, but let’s hear your side of it.”
“Very well, Zork. It used to be going on to university meant you were given the time to contemplate philosophy; learning about different religions and being exposed to different problem-solving techniques; to learn how to reason by being given the opportunity to read the great minds of the past, and then to talk over your impressions with fellow students and professors.”
“Please give us an example after this commercial.”

“Here’s a good example: if you were tasked with building a road in Tibet, you would need a crew that you would call ‘The Grand Saviors of Worms,’ people chosen for their ability to sift through soil and save the worms.”
“Save the worms? Why?”
“Because they believe in reincarnation, that’s why. Maybe that worm was their grandfather; who knows?”
“Heck, we’d still be building the Interstate system if we thought that way.”
“I think the lesson here is that there is no hurry. You know the Arabs have such a philosophy, that things will come to pass. Too bad it had to be corrupted by Islam, where the belief of getting what you want by murder is a socially – to them — acceptable path.”
“Yes, too bad for all of humanity. But getting back to this unwarranted hysteria, this attacking Asians and Trumpsters: where does it end?”
“It doesn’t, and that’s the point. I mean, there is no end because, like Islam, such a philosophy will consume itself.”
“That doesn’t make any sense.”
“It’s not supposed to ‘make any sense,’ as you say.”
“So why do it?”
“One word: control.”
“Expand on that statement.”
“How about total control over everything, all your memories and beliefs whitewashed, erased, gone forever.”
“No way.”
“Yes way, and it has a name and it is not Communism, Socialism or Islam: it is called Nihilism: the belief that everything in the past is meaningless.”
“I guess that explains the destroyed statues, or Nikki Haley lowering the flag.”
“And Mark Twain and Dr. Seuss kicked out of libraries.”
“And soon more books, thousands, to be added.”
“Book burnings?”
“Not quite there yet but soon.”
“And backed by the government?”
“The National Guard will be there, with fences and the latest APC’s*. They’ll attack libraries, burn every book, and turn them into day care centers to indoctrinate preschoolers. The object is to totally destroy the past: films will be burned along with books. Ever see the movie ‘Mr. Smith Goes to Washington‘? Soon to be destroyed, so too any American war movies, movies that show American exceptionalism, movies that support the Constitution by exposing traitors such as Eric Swalwell, a real nitwit who wants our guns, leaving us defenseless.”
“No way. Why would any sane person wish to be at the mercy of pedophiles, rapists, robbers and murderers?”
“Look, no one ever said Biden-Harris, Mao-Stalin, Pol Pot, Maduro or Swalwell were sane: no one, not then and not now. They’re all nuts and the only sane one in the last decade has been Trump: insane people cannot process facts, truth, and what is real.”
“Give us an example.”
“Easy: the attacks on Asian-Americans for the obscure fallacy that flu season is somehow being tied to someone’s DNA.”
“But that’s preposterous.”
“And so is Biden as president, an office that he did not earn, a job for which he is not qualified and bad news for the rest of us. You want to talk about inflation? The Biden-Harris nightmare is just beginning.”
