“THE TREATIES WILL BE BROKEN”

“Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ the place to hear it here first. I am parked somewhere in the Black Hills, an Indian sacred land that all the Indian tribes shared with their brothers. It is a warm summer night and the Milky Way is quite clear so I’ll just sit here next to my campfire and talk out loud for a spell, if you don’t mind.

“The Great Spirit has infinite wisdom and patience and is willing to suffer fools, and why not, because there’s no way out except when the mind tells itself ‘Lights Out.’

“Your last thought will be the sum of your life, so make the most of it. Die with a smile or a scorn; we each have the choice. What it all comes down to is are we going to feel the knife go in our back or not? I hope not.

“Are we to see the light in the stranger’s eye or do we avoid making contact? If we do make contact, are we required to acknowledge the other by some effort that we don’t have or, even worse, pretend we don’t have? The rules of living in the rat maze are varied and complicated, so much so, that the more people are cooped up, the less humanity they possess.

“Most city folk use the tactic of anonymity, the art of blending to become invisible. I can vote for something that doesn’t make a lick of sense because no one will ever know how selfish and self-centered I truly am. I can write letters to the editor and sign them ‘Anonymous’ and retain my secret.

“But the Great Spirit will know; the Spirit knows all and there’s no way to hide. Getting away with the crime is only in the mind: the gavel strikes during your last-ever thought. You can never run away from your memories; your recollections are the sum total of what you are now, and again for all of your tomorrows.

“There’s nothing wrong in trying to be better, but there is something wrong in not caring to be better. There’s nothing wrong in not sharing, but there is something wrong in discarding to avoid sharing.

“The American Indian believes in truth. If you are going to lie to me, it is up to me to determine the worth of your words, not up to you to convince me. When the American Indian Tribes signed the Peace Treaties with the Great White Fathers in Washington, DC, it was done with the understanding that the teachings of Jesus Christ were the guiding hand that formed the words of the Constitution, That all men are created equal and that the Golden Rule shall be now, and forever more, the law of the land.’

“The Treaties we signed were with the Constitution, but you are in the process of breaking your word. You are not upholding the laws that are written for all to see and interpret clearly. You are changing the country into something that it is not, has never been and never will be because if the country is changed into the likes of the Biden-Harris vision, then America will be no more and the Treaties will be broken.

“We are waiting for the illegal immigrants to be deported, and that includes the DACA freeloaders and bums.  Your Department of Homeland Security welcomes whole Somalian villages, the very people who kill and maim you over there. You are digging your grave deeper and deeper each day. You have ‘Day 65’ of the Portland, OR riots when there should have been ZERO riots: no broken windows, no burnt building, and no merchandise stolen.

“In Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis and other Democratic strongholds, the Commandment ‘Thou shalt not steal’ is an alien concept, as meaningless as any thought of reverence for our National Anthem and the Stars and Stripes. Brave men died on the beaches of Normandy and Iwo Jima so that flag could be raised and our anthem sung any day of the week.

“You people talk as if the Biden-Harris ticket is for real, and not some sick ‘Let’s transport them to the Funny Farm’ idea. You have morons, such as Morning Joe, who made fools out of themselves every day for over three years with this Russian Collusion Hoax, with nary an apology for yanking our chain. And Joe and his ditzy sidekick continue to make fools of themselves.

“When, I ask you, will it end? Just speaking for myself, and a few thousand other red-blooded American Indians, we’re sick of you knocking our country. And, as a last parting thought, this BLM is nothing but a farce; hot air; meaningless mumbo-jumbo. Get a job; there’s plenty out there. If the Asians can do it, and if the American Indian can do it, why can’t others?

“And one last thought. I never used any of this ‘Affirmative Action’ crutch, as in ‘Check box if American Indian.’ I went out and worked for a living. End of story: Goodnight.

“Anybody want to roast marshmallows? My treat.”

If I Can Dream” (3:12)
