“LEAVE THE PARTY”

(Jun. 14, 2020) — Recently, your faithful servant offered a post captioned “The People’s Republic of CHAZ.”  The post addressed the anarchistic malignant tumor being nurtured in downtown Seattle by its feckless Democrat Mayor, Jenny Durkan, and with the tacit approval of equally feckless Democrat Governor Jay Inslee.  Pity and pray for the few remaining conservative residents of that once-rational city.  As the municipality continues to metastasize, the term “sleepless in Seattle” takes on a brand new meaning: cancer frequently breeds insomnia over the question: “When will the end come?”

One of the points raised in the post, however, related to the heated exchange between a black Hah-vahd professor – one Cornel (“I-be-a-non-Marxist-socialist”) West – and a black civil rights attorney, Leo Terrell.  The “discussion” between West and Terrell immediately went into free-fall when West exploded in what can only be described as an unhinged, race-baiting tirade against Terrell for having the temerity to question the bona fides of the Black Lives Matter movement and the wisdom of the left’s new narrative to “defund the police.”

Go back and watch that clip again – and consider sending it to your friends, especially registered Democrats – as a public service announcement depicting what a Democrat administration will look like.  Seriously?  The Republican National Committee should take that video and splice it into a campaign ad teasing the electorate with a preview of what life would be like under a Biden regime, especially with someone like Kamala Harris as Vice-President.  More on that later.

Interestingly, Leo Terrell may be well on his way to “taking the red pill.”  He may be waking up and experiencing the same epiphany as did Ronald Reagan, once a Democrat, but upon awakening becoming one of the greatest presidents in the nation’s history… as a Republican.  On the “Hannity” Fox News show on Friday, Terrell confessed that he has “stopped drinking the Democrat Kool-Aid.  I can’t take this hypocrisy anymore.  It’s ridiculous.”

He then added a line which could have been pirated from one of your faithful servant’s many posts on this topic: “Democrats, please leave the party!  If you want law and order, you cannot get it from the Democrats!”  Wow.

Then Hannity asked Terrell if he was going to vote for President Trump.  After a long pause, Terrell smiled then said that if Joe Biden puts Kamala Harris on his ticket as a vice-presidential running mate, then yes, he would be voting for President Trump.

Double wow.

And all of this doesn’t even take into consideration the fact that Kamala Harris would be ineligible to the office under the 12th Amendment as she is very likely not a “natural born Citizen” as required under Art. 2, § 1 Cl. 5 of the Constitution.  Instead, Terrell’s disdain for a Biden-Harris ticket is more probably based on his knowledge and understanding, as a Californian, of the horrible policies and actions of Harris while she masqueraded as a “law and order” Attorney General of California.  Whatever the basis for Terrell’s revulsion for Harris as a vice-presidential candidate, it speaks volumes for him to admit to millions of viewers on Fox News – and to no less than Sean Hannity – that if Harris were to be Biden’s running mate, he would, in fact, vote to re-elect President Trump.

Couple that remark with his pleas for normal “law and order” Democrats to “leave the party” if they value a return to law and order, the prospects for President Trump not only winning by a landslide in November, but for a re-taking of the House by the GOP now seem to be much improved.  Your faithful servant’s favorite dream is the one where Nancy (“let-us-kneel-with-our-culturally-appropriated-African-kente-cloth-scarves” Pelosi is forced to hand over the Speaker’s gavel to Kevin McCarthy.  Popcorn time.

Leo Terrell may become one of the valued “converts” in the task of bringing sanity back to a nation sorely in need of it.  Time will tell.
