CONGRESS IN “SCHOCK” OVER SUDDEN RESIGNATION OF YOUNG, “RISING STAR” HOUSE REPUBLICAN
by Sharon Rondeau
(Mar. 17, 2015) — U.S. Representative Aaron Schock has resigned, according to NBC News and other mainstream media sources.
In February it was announced that the Office of Congressional Ethics was probing Schock’s use of private jets, the redecorating of his Washington, DC office, mileage reimbursement reports and tickets to entertainment events using taxpayer dollars. Last month, ABC News reported that Schock was being investigated for possibly violating legal solicitation limits for a political committee related to his congressional office.
As of press time, Schock’s congressional website is still functional.
Schock reportedly “resigned less than 12 hours after POLITICO raised questions about tens of thousands of dollars in mileage reimbursements he received for his personal vehicle” and did not inform the Republican House leadership of his decision.

In contrast, the spending of the Obamas on fundraising trips, vacations and official business does not appear to have been questioned by the mainstream media other than The Examiner. Rather, the government watchdog group Judicial Watch has probed the expenditures through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and found that they amount to multiple millions in travel costs alone.
The Examiner presented an itemization of the Obamas’ trips and vacations since 2009 but clarified that “some trips by the first lady and daughters are kept secret from the media, so a full accounting is difficult.”
Like many congressmen, Schock had been approached by at least one constituent about the findings of the Maricopa County, AZ Cold Case Posse in regard to the long-form birth certificate image bearing Obama’s name posted on the White House website on April 27, 2011.
On March 1, 2012, after six months of investigation, the posse announced that the birth certificate image and Obama’s Selective Service registration form are “computer-generated forgeries.” A second press conference in July of that year confirmed that the standard of probable cause had been surpassed in regard to the birth certificate forgery.
Last May, Schock’s constituent, Michael Jackson, sent a Sheriff’s Kit containing a presentation of Cold Case Posse lead investigator Mike Zullo to a group of constitutional sheriffs detailing how the posse determined that the birth certificate image is a forgery.
In follow-up communications with Schock’s then-district office Chief of Staff, Carol Merna, Jackson received no response to the information contained in the Sheriff’s Kit but the revelation that Merna would soon be leaving her post.
The kits were produced en masse by Michael Volin, founder of WheresObamaBirthCertificate.com (WOBC), and delivered in person or by mail to more than 200 members of Congress. A recent project conducted by WOBC volunteers and CDR Charles F. Kerchner, Jr. (Ret.) delivered the kits to every county sheriff, state attorney general, and governor in the country.
During the summer of 2013, Jackson reported that his cell phone had been mysteriously blocked from directly contacting members of Congress. Further, he received a call from the Washington, DC Capitol Police which he perceived as threatening, warning him that he would be arrested if he continued to call Congress.
On one occasion Jackson had gone in person to visit Schock’s district office and was stopped by a U.S. marshal without explanation, then allowed to proceed.
On February 25, 2013, Jackson sent an email to Merna requesting that she communicate to Schock that the Cold Case Posse investigation was ongoing and that investigators, as well as Maricopa County Sheriff Joseph Arpaio, welcomed inquiries from members of Congress about their work.
In both 2012 and 2013, Jackson asked Schock to define the meaning of the term “natural born Citizen” contained in Article II, Section 1, clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution which applies only to the president and commander-in-chief. Jackson received no response at either juncture.
While the media has demonstrated a recent keen interest in probing Schock’s spending, trips, and congressional activity, it has obliquely ridiculed anyone probing Obama’s background, which has been obscured since his announcement in 2007 that he would seek the presidency.
In six weeks, Shock’s political career ended over allegations of improper spending of taxpayer money, but the forgery of government documents on behalf of Obama has never been investigated by an American media outlet over the last six years.
Obama, too, quickly catapulted onto the national political stage as a “rising star” after addressing the 2004 Democratic National Committee convention, during which he extolled America’s bountiful opportunities and appeared to embrace traditional American values.
Having claimed to be a Christian during his 2008 presidential campaign, Obama now appears to many to be highly sympathetic to Islam while denigrating Christianity and, in particular, the nation of Israel.
Zullo told The Post & Email nearly two years ago that the birth certificate forgery was “created with the intent to deceive.”
