“MOVING WELL”

by Sharon Rondeau

(Jan. 5, 2015) — A friend and frequent visitor to Jeff Lichter, who has been hospitalized since early October following complications from surgery told The Post & Email on Saturday night that Lichter has been transferred to a Wellsprings Therapy Center facility for further rehabilitation.

Wellsprings states that its purpose is “to transform the recovery process for every guest who chooses one of our centers as a means to get back to life.”

The last update from the same frequent visitor on December 21 indicated that Lichter was making a “remarkable recovery” despite substantial difficulties in the early days following the operation.

It is The Post & Email’s understanding from a reader that Lichter has recently been able to take phone calls and has been reading his email while recovering at the former facility, where he was receiving physical therapy and other services.

Lichter was one of 250 members of the Surprise, AZ Tea Party who approached Sheriff Joe Arpaio to request an investigation into the long-form birth certificate image bearing Obama’s name posted on the White House website on April 27, 2011.  Within a day of its publication, various graphics and computer experts pronounced it a forgery, and the Tea Partiers feared that their votes would be disenfranchised during the 2012 presidential election if Obama were found to be ineligible to serve.

Article II, Section 1, clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution requires the president to be a “natural born Citizen.”  While the term is not precisely defined in the Constitution, Bill of Rights, or any other founding document, many scholars believe that the Founders intended the commander of the U.S. military to be completely removed from foreign allegiance, which included the candidate’s parents’ citizenship.

Today, most Americans understand the term “natural born Citizen” to mean “born in the United States” without consideration to the citizenship of the parents.

After speaking with the Tea Party members, Arpaio appointed his Cold Case Posse to examine the image to put the matter to rest and “clear the president.”  However, within several days, the posse found that the image could not have originated with a real, paper document.

On March 1, 2012, posse lead investigator and Arpaio announced at a press conference that the long-form birth certificate and Obama’s purported Selective Service registration form are “computer-generated forgeries.”

Questions about Obama’s constitutional eligibility arose in late 2007 when MSNBC commentator Chris Matthews pronounced him “born in Indonesia.”  In January 2006, Will Hoover of The Hawaii Advertiser similarly reported that Obama was born in the Southeast Asian country whose capital of Jakarta Obama has referred to as “my old home town.”

Hoover’s story was later changed to say that Obama was “born in Hawaii.”

Various accounts of eyewitnesses affirm that Obama attended school for several years in Indonesia as “Barry Soetoro.”

Michelle Obama has referred to Kenya as her husband’s “home country.”

An award-winning journalist writing for The Washington Post stated in 2008 that Obama was “raised in the Kansas heartland” but did not cite his sources.  An inquiry sent to the publication by The Post & Email last week received no response as to where writer Eli Saslow obtained his information.

Cold Case Posse lead criminal investigator Mike Zullo has said that Obama has used “four aliases” and voiced doubt about the veracity of Obama’s claim to parents Stanley Ann Dunham and Barack Hussein Obama Sr.

Obama has reportedly had at least three illegal-alien relatives present in the United States, and Atty. Larry Klayman suspects that Obama himself is an illegal alien.

As the birth certificate investigation continued, Arpaio launched an investigation of his own, the results of which may be made public at some point.  Arpaio has been prosecuted by the U.S. Justice Department under Obama for allegedly abusing his power.  However, in August 2012, the Justice’s investigation was dropped with the explanation that it did not find probable cause to issue an indictment.

A lawsuit by the ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project alleging racial profiling against Hispanics by Arpaio was ruled on favorably by Judge Murray Snow, who ordered a federal monitor placed within the sheriff’s office to act as a “check on his actions to prevent such profiling from continuing in the future.”

Arpaio is serving his sixth term as Maricopa County sheriff.  Both Arpaio and Zullo visited Lichter shortly before Thanksgiving when he was considerably less mobile and still using a ventilator occasionally.

Represented by Klayman, Arpaio recently sued the Obama regime over Obama’s unilateral changes to immigration policy which Arpaio said will cause him undue difficulties in keeping law and order and tens of thousands of dollars more in costs to incarcerate additional illegals which Arpaio expects to enter Maricopa County.

Obama appointee Judge Beryl Howell ruled against Arpaio, who has now appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington, DC.

Our contact stated that Lichter was able to move on his own from his bed to the wheelchair to be transported to Wellsprings.  Given his level of recovery thus far, the contact stated, “I think it will not be necessary for me to continue to send updates.”
