(Feb. 25, 2026) — I have wanted to write about faith for a long time.

Anyone who has heard me teach through the years knows I will inevitably ask at some point, “How do we get faith?”

At last, I get to review the answer with you and explore how faith orders our everyday life.

Why now? I wrote three posts last year that touched on aspects of faith, and I felt it was time for a deeper study.

In the first, the challenge was to distinguish faith from presumption. This raised the follow-up question: How do we discern God’s voice?

The third post emerged from a sermon I was preparing from Acts, in which the Apostle Paul embarked on a second missionary journey to strengthen the fledgling churches (Acts 15:41; 16:5). He was concerned that false teachers and the dailiness of life would unhinge the young converts, and his mission inspired me to hold fast to our precious faith.

Effective posts, say the pundits, have a clear Call to Action (CTA)—a resolution, a decision, or certain steps you want from the reader. This series is the CTA for the preceding posts.

They raised questions.

God’s Call To Action is a three-word answer.

Live by faith.

It is written, “The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17).

Faith is a way of living. A lifestyle.
