(Dec. 8, 2025) — Two amazing Christmas gifts came my way when December dawned.
The number of followers of By Green Pastures topped 200, and I appeared in my first podcast.
I know this isn’t a monumental following, but for 200 readers to say, “I like your writing. Keep it up,” encourages me not to grow weary.
I stumbled upon another Substack the other morning that claims 45,000 subscribers. The titles of several posts are suggestive, to say the least, and this reminded me that Christians in general are not popular. Few of us attract the multitudes. We are in the world, but not of it.
Take heart. The kingdom of God can appear as small as a mustard seed.
Thank you all for gathering with me here at this cyberspace water cooler. I hope your time here refreshes you.
First-ever podcast
Doing a podcast was a new experience, and I thank Dr. Stephen Phinney for inviting me to be a guest on his Exchanged Life Podcast and for making the experience comfortable.
