(Oct. 10, 2025) — “Last Kiss” (2:31)

“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ the place to hear it here first. Christians are being murdered everywhere, but Africa takes the prize in being the slaughterhouse of Christians in the last decade. We’ve asked ‘The General’ to answer the question of why Americans don’t have a clue on how the world works.”

“Stupid.”

“Pardon me?”

“Stupid people don’t have a clue. It starts in first grade where they don’t learn the alphabet or how to count. By grade six they aren’t taught the national anthem. By high school they can’t explain the Constitution; they can’t speak, write or reason. They are, in short, prime candidates for TDS, an insidious mental disorder of the highest degree.”

“Highest degree?”

“Law-breakers; murderers; blindly taking the ‘Clot Shot.’”

“’Clot Shot?’”

“COVID-19 ‘vaccine’ that is not a vaccine but a ticket to death. Young men dying on the basketball court in front of their classmates.  And those who got the shot, well, time bombs, and we hope they’re not driving when they croak.”

“‘Croak?’”

“Frog-speak for buying the farm.”

“Oh. I understand that Las Vegas is taking odds on how long the ceasefire will last in Gaza. What’s your estimate?”

“I bet $100 it doesn’t last a year.”

“What are the odds?”

“Two to one.”

“Count me in for a hundred, if you would.”

“Consider it done.”

“Thanks.  Why are we here?”

“You invited me.”

“No, I don’t mean you and me, but everything.”

“You mean anything.”

“Why is anything here, then?”

“What do you say we give Pastor Dunkin a call during the break?”

I’m an Old Cowhand” (2:47)

“And we’re back with Pastor Dunkin on the phone. How are you hearing us, Pastor?”

“Just fine. What’s on your mind?”

“Faith is on our minds, Pastor.”

“Oh, I get it, the age-old question, ‘Where did God come from?’  I don’t know, but that’s the faith part of the equation.”

“What’s the other part?”

“The other part is believing what you’re seeing.  You see the sun rise, the moon rise, the rain fall and the grass grow, for millions of years. Then you see the stars shining for billions of years and ask was there a beginning and will there be an end.”

“Well, will there?”

“Think about something from nothing and you’ll get the picture.”

“But how can you make something from nothing?”

“You and I can’t, but God can, and He did, and you and I and the universe are the proof of the pudding, as they say. Faith is the key that we’ll all do better tomorrow than we did today, and I don’t mean killing your enemy; I mean treating others the best you can: Golden Rule.”

“But everyone doesn’t think the same.”

“Nevertheless, we will all be judged. The current Pope is an idiot, and he, too will be judged.”

“I’m still confused.”

“No need to be; just accept things as they are. Accept the total solar eclipse, the baked bread and your family. And give thanks to the Lord for making it all happen. That’s it.”

“That’s it?”

“That’s all there is. Some go through life with blinders on; some don’t. All living creatures will be judged; there’s just no escaping or bypassing your judgment day, so make it a good one.”

“And that’s all the time we have. Thanks for talking with us, Pastor. This is Henry, along with The General, wishing each of you a goodnight: goodnight.

“Good show. I’ll spring for a pizza: my treat.”

[We fervently hope that Trump will receive the Nobel Peace Prize.]

It’s Up to You” (3:00) [Song has meaning for me: I thought my wife wanted me gone so I got a divorce rather than taking the chance to ask her and being turned away. And here’s the kicker: she’s gone and I live without ever knowing. So much for doing the “right thing.”]
