Trump during NATO Sec-Gen Meeting: “The Election was Rigged”

(Jul. 14, 2025) — During a meeting with NATO Secretary-General Marc Rutte late Monday morning at the White House, in speaking about the Ukraine-Russia war, President Donald Trump said the war would “never have happened” had he been in the White House during what would have been his second consecutive term.

“The election was rigged,” he said, another frequent claim he has made since being declared the loser in the November 3, 2020 election against Democrat Joe Biden.

Last week Trump suggested he would make a major announcement on Russia Monday, which he did next. “We’re very unhappy with Russia,” he said, as a result of President Vladimir Putin’s aggression against Ukraine while reportedly indicating to Trump he was interested in ending hostilities. Going forward, he said, Putin has 50 days to reach a peace deal with Ukraine or nations conducting business with Russia will face 100% tariffs on goods shipped to the U.S.

Trump had said in an interview with NBC News on Thursday the U.S. will be sending 17 Patriot air-defense batteries to Ukraine via NATO, which will pay for and provide the weapons to Ukraine, and expanded on that with Rutte.

“This is really big,” Rutte said in response to Trump’s declaration.

“I speak to him, a lot, about getting this thing done,” Trump said in response to a reporter’s question of Putin’s behavior. “My conversations with him are always very pleasant, and then the missiles go off that night…He’s…a tough guy…he fooled a lot of people — Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden — ultimately talk doesn’t talk; it’s gotta be action,” he said regarding the Russian leader.

After a reported falling-out between FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino and U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi last week over documents connected to the late Jeffrey Epstein, Trump wrote on TruthSocial that Bondi is investigating the 2020 election.

“We are saving our Country and, MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, which will continue to be our complete PRIORITY,” Trump wrote in defense of Bondi concerning the Epstein papers. “The Left is imploding! Kash Patel, and the FBI, must be focused on investigating Voter Fraud, Political Corruption, ActBlue, The Rigged and Stolen Election of 2020, and arresting Thugs and Criminals, instead of spending month after month looking at nothing but the same old, Radical Left inspired Documents on Jeffrey Epstein. LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB — SHE’S GREAT!”

“The 2020 Election was Rigged and Stolen, and they tried to do the same thing in 2024 — That’s what she is looking into as AG, and much more,” he concluded his post.

In mid-June, FBI Director Kash Patel told JusttheNews he had provided documents to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) which “include allegations of plans from the CCP to manufacture fake driver’s licenses and ship them into the United States for the purpose of facilitating fraudulent mail-in ballots – allegations which, while substantiated, were abruptly recalled and never disclosed to the public.” 

That announcement came after Bongino, in an interview with Fox & Friends May 29, described a clandestine room at FBI headquarters containing unrecorded “evidence” he and Patel discovered shortly after assuming their positions in the Trump administration.

“We found it in bags hiding under Jim Comey’s FBI, and you’re going to be stunned!” Bongino told the three co-hosts.

On July 1, Fox News reported in an exclusive that “The FBI blocked an investigation into allegations that the Chinese Communist Party manufactured fake driver’s licenses and shipped them to the U.S. in a scheme to influence the 2020 presidential election in favor of Joe Biden because it would ‘contradict’ then-FBI Director Christopher Wray’s congressional testimony, newly declassified FBI documents obtained by Fox News Digital reveal.”
