(Jun. 6, 2022) — In a blog post Sunday and as released at The Highwire on May 31, Atty. Aaron Siri, Managing Partner of Siri and Glimstad, wrote about his May 25 testimony to the Arizona State Senate’s Novel Coronavirus Southwestern Intergovernmental Committee formed in late April to address the manner in which government at all levels responded to the declared COVID-19 pandemic.

Siri represented Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency (PHMPT) in its successful quest to obtain documentation stemming from the FDA’s 2021 approval of Pfizer’s “Comirnaty” COVID-19 vaccine, which in actuality has never been made available in the United States.

Siri said during testimony his firm focuses on “vaccine policy work” with “over 30 professionals,” and his website features his numerous appearances on major media on behalf of individuals reporting vaccine injuries from COVID-19 products and previous government-approved vaccines.

Also a certified public accountant, Siri has represented The Highwire‘s “ICAN” non-profit in various actions to obtain vaccine-related data which federal health agencies have been reluctant to make public under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Sunday’s blog post at his Substack, “Injecting Freedom,” is titled, “How Did Our Vaccine Oversight System Get So Broken?”

In addition to the Arizona committee, Siri has spoken at roundtables held by U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) on the federal government’s response to COVID along with various physicians opposed to the government’s approach calling for lockdowns, mandatory vaccination and masking. Others who spoke on those occasions included FLCCC co-founders Drs. Paul Marik and Pierre Kory; Utah-based pathologist Dr. Ryan Cole; ophthalmologist Dr. Richard Urso; Dr. Paul Alexander, PhD; military “whistleblower” Dr. Teresa Long; epidemiologist and cardiologist Dr. Peter A. McCullough; Atty. Thomas Renz; and others as well as numerous individuals describing severe and life-altering injuries following COVID-19 injection.

According to KTAR, the new Arizona committee “includes members from both the state house and senate as well as members of the U.S. House of Representatives” and met for the first time on May 25 and 26 in full-day sessions.

Members of Congress appointed to the committee include Reps. Andy Biggs, Eli Crane and Paul Gosar.

A report on the committee’s findings will be generated by the end of next year, the article states.

Some in the mainstream media characterized the Republican-led hearings as based on “medical conspiracies” and “quackery.” “Joining the committee Thursday were cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough, who earned a reputation for spreading misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as Dr. George Fareed, who publicly promoted the use of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19, though they were never authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as effective treatments,” USA Today reported on May 25.

On May 23, the Tucson Sentinel linked the hearings to the “QAnon community” and said guests included “a litany of speakers who have spread disinformation about the pandemic, vaccines, spoken at QAnon events and have conspiratorial beliefs about the virus, including believing it will usher in the ‘mark of the beast.’”

On May 25, Siri testified on the topic of “V-Safe and the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System,” or VAERS, launched in 1991 by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to accept reports from the public stemming from adverse events occurring after vaccine administration.

V-Safe” was initiated by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) specifically to gather real-time data from recipients of the COVID-19 “vaccines,” developed under Operation Warp Speed and first made available to consumers in mid-December 2020.

On May 19, V-Safe enrollment was closed.

Also testifying to the committee were McCullough; Dr. George Fareed, a California-based family practitioner; and Kurtis Bay, an Arizona business consultant, father and grandfather who testified, on what he said would have been his 38th anniversary, about his wife’s passing at the age of 59 which he attributed to the use of an incorrect medical “protocol” and “the overreach of our government” (5:50).

No legislative Democrats participated in the hearings, Bay regretfully noted during his statement, when he also recognized the many others who suffered similar losses as COVID-19 “failures” unfolded.

“Why did they only use one medicine?” he asked. “People died; they died needlessly, good people like my bride (9:15). She never tested positive for COVID, not once; not on admission, not during her stay, and not upon her last day, but she was forced into the hospital government protocol that provided the hospital and their partners an incentive to operate according to the guidelines and policies our government and federal agencies created without a single consideration about us, her, or in fact, our citizenry, without a single consideration for the outcomes of these policies. They just went through the motions.”

Bay and his wife Tammy had just “purchased their ‘forever’ home,” returning to Arizona after living out-of-state for “nine or ten years,” he said.

Siri’s testimony covered five different topics within the umbrella of “formal systems” he deems to be “broken” in regard to COVID-19 vaccines.

Of his appearance before the committee, Siri wrote in his Substack:

My testimony is almost entirely based on government data, testimony from depositions of leading vaccine scientists, and evidence from lawsuits brought by my firm – information every American should know about before allowing any vaccine to be injected into their body.

I challenge anyone to listen to the information presented and not have their confidence shaken regarding vaccine safety and the U.S. government’s ability to bring any vaccine to market safely.

In his opening statement, Siri observed that “cultural cognition” around “vaccines” is “so different” in regard to “how most other products are treated” (3:00). “The framework” governing the safety of any product, he said, consists of “‘regulatory’ and ‘market'” forces.

“COVID-19 vaccines didn’t just fall into a vacuum,” he expounded after a new slide was presented. “…COVID-19 vaccines fell into a very longstanding developed paradigm that exists in our country…and many parts of the world with regards to how vaccines are treated and how they — treated by regulatory agencies and how the market forces work with regard to those products.”

“…We begin with a very simple question: How do we assure the safety of any product — cars, planes, buildings… — how do we assure they’re safe? The primary way we assure product safety in the United States and in all developed countries is self-regulation: market forces. Companies don’t want to lose money; they want to make money, and when they are doing any act, conduct — they have a product that is going to cause them to lose money, they desist from those conduct, from those actions. But if there’s conduct they can engage in to make money where there’s no potential for liability, well, they usually take the shortest route to make as much profit as they can.”

The second way to assure safety, he said, is through “regulatory agencies.” “It’s a far, far weaker and less effective way to do it, but it’s there,” he added.

“When it comes to vaccines,” Siri continued at 5:32, “in 1986, Congress, in its wisdom, passed something called the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, and what this act did is it removed liability for injuries from vaccines — childhood vaccines, including if they’re given to adults — so that pharmaceutical companies no longer were liable for injuries caused by their vaccine products. That is the law in this country since 1986. I am not aware of any other product — I can actually declaratorily say — there is no other product that has that kind of immunity. Period, full-stop.”

On May 26, McCullough, Kory, Urso and others testified on various other aspects of the government’s responses to the SARS-COV-2 virus.

Following the hearings, ArizonaCentral published an article titled, “Five Overlooked Facts from the Arizona GOP COVID-19 Hearing” available only through a paywall.

The AZMirror, which had weighed in prior to the hearings, reported, “Senate COVID hearing light on facts, heavy on misinformation” and “The QAnon-tinged two-day hearing featured a stream of conspiracy theories and debunked claims.”

Children’s Health Defense (CHD), founded by current Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., posted the footage from both days of hearings.
