(Jun. 6, 2023) — All the hoopla over the end of Title 42 was for naught, we are told by the media.

When asked about the state of the border after the expiration of Title 42 on midnight of May 12, President Biden replied, “Much better than you all expected,” as he rode a bicycle in Delaware.

We’re told the amount of people entering dropped drastically.

Is the border under control?

It depends on what you mean by “under control.”

If by “under control” you mean the Biden Rush is over, then no.

But if by “under control” you mean border policy is following the administration’s agenda, then yes.

For a short summary of the situation, I recommend a recent opinion piece in the New York Post written by Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies entitled, “Biden hides the truth at the border — he’s letting in thousands.”

An excerpt:

“The administration’s goal at the border has never been to stop the flow of people who have no right to come to the United States. Rather, the White House just wants the problem to stop being in the news.”

“It wasn’t bothered by the fact that the limits on immigration Congress passed were being flouted, but that they were being flouted in a disorderly manner that made them look bad.”

“Solution? Replace the chaotic violation of America’s borders with an orderly violation of America’s borders.”

One example is the CBP One app, which, in the words of Krikorian, “allows people to schedule their illegal immigration…instead of crossing the border illegally and turning themselves in to the Border Patrol and then get released into the United States, they can now make an appointment to be let in “legally” at a port of entry and then get released into the United States.”

To assess the state of the border, we can’t just count quantity of border-crossers apprehended by Border Patrol.

For instance, CBP One app users just go straight to a port of entry, like people entering legally.

The Biden administration figures out ways to get aliens into the country “legally,” although they’re really not legal.

Take the “parole” concept for example. It’s designed to waive requirements on a case-by-case basis – not wave in hordes of illegal aliens. That’s not legal, but it’s being done.

More From Krikorian:

“You might think it would be Congress’ job to decide if the number of immigrants admitted to the country should be expanded, not the president’s.…Biden’s Department of Homeland Security is set on brazenly violating the immigration law and the Constitution until somebody stops it.”

“The result is funneling inadmissible migrants through the ports of entry (including international airports inside the country) at a rate of 1,000 a day, which the administration says it can increase by however much it wants, whenever it wants.”

In a press conference on May 10, a reporter asked Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas an unexpected question.

Reporter: “So how do Americans gain from the immigration paths you are opening, sir? I mean, nobody ever asked this question, do Americans gain from all the immigrants you’re bringing into the country that drive down wages, they push up prices?”

Mayorkas: “Sir, we are a nation of immigrants, and we are a nation of laws. Individuals who qualify for relief under our laws have a basis to remain in the United States. The contributions of immigrants to this country is quite clear.”

Mayorkas simply launched into a litany of “nation of immigrant” cliches, and never explained how the current situation benefits the American people.

Conclusion: It doesn’t matter how it affects the American people.

NOTE: I was recently interviewed by Mic Rosado and Rarchar Tortorello on the #LetThePeopleDecide show.  We discussed the immigration situation, the big picture, DeSantis and Mexican meddling, and why it was a bad idea to allow the installation of a Mexican consulate in Oklahoma City. 1. Biden’s “policy” is that there IS no border. Period. What else is to be said? He isn’t going to enforce a border that isn’t there. The DNC’s new army is pouring in…
