They Did It Anyway

(Oct. 21, 2022) — If you needed any additional reason to vote every single Democrat out of Congress, out of state and local office and, of course, out of the presidency, look no farther than the recent admission of House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D) regarding inflation.  He has now publicly admitted that all Democrats in Congress – as well as presumably did Brandon, the addled Donkey in the White House – knew that the Democrats’ economic “recovery” program would unavoidably trigger rampant inflation.

They did it anyway.

When asked by an MSNBC interrogator about skyrocketing inflation, Clyburn stated: “So, let me make it very clear.  All of of [sic] us are concerned about these rising costs.  And all of us knew [that] this would be the case…, uh…, when we put in place this recovery program.  Any time you put more money…, uh…, into…, uh…, the economy…, uh…, prices…, uh…, tend to rise.”  He apparently did not get the Oval Office memo: “Inflation is caused exclusively by Vladimir Putin and his racist GOP allies at Mar-a-Lago…, or something….”

Let us dissect his words. 

First, Clyburn assures us that what he is about to confess is not only “clear,” but indeed “very” clear.  No room for mistake or claims of “misinformation.”  Second, he did not say that “some” Democrats or a “few” Democrats knew what would happen when they put in place the “recovery” program: he said that “all of us knew…” that rampant inflation would be the direct result of their actions.  Third, he confirmed that they were aware that “any time you put more money into the economy, prices tend to rise.” 

That is true when the infusion of printed phantom dollars is mere millions or even billions.  But it is true “in spades on steroids” when the infusion is nearly two trillion dollars.

They did it anyway.   

Accordingly, Clyburn has confessed that, despite being aware that the falsely branded $1.9 trillion ($1,900,000,000,000.00) “American Rescue Plan” would absolutely ignite the inferno of inflation…, they gleefully proceeded with the economic carpet bombing of middle America.  

And now, with less than three weeks remaining until the November 8 mid-term election – and with early voting well under way in many states – the Democrats and Brandon continue to lie their way into the abyss.  Fine: if they want to deceive themselves into the netherworld, let them…, but do not drag the Republic down along with them.

At this point in these offerings, your humble servant usually asks the one or two Democrats who read The P&E: Are you happy now?  Are you pleased that your Goof has crippled the nation’s energy independence? Are you overjoyed that the dozen eggs you bought two weeks ago at the grocery store for $1.39 now cost $4.29?  How about $6.00/gal. gasoline and $8.00/gal. diesel?  In response to the TV commercial’s question, “What’s in your wallet?” today’s answer is “Smaller dollars… much smaller dollars.” 

And apart from incandescent inflation, how do you voters now feel about the hundreds, perhaps thousands of Americans Brandon left behind in Afghanistan, after promising them (and their families back here) that none of them would be abandoned? And what is your opinion now of Alejandro Mayorkas, who threw his Border Patrol agents under the bus by falsely accusing them of “whipping” illegal aliens, knowing full well that it was a lie?

Seriously?  One is again reminded of the Latin motto of the website The Onion: “Tu Stultus Es.”  You Are Dumb.  Worse, a Democrat electorate’s stupidity has splashed the sewage wastewater of Democrat governmental officials’ ill-conceived policies over onto the rest of us.  And we don’t like it.  We don’t like it a lot.  Why do you think Tulsi Gabbard had her recent epiphany?

Congressman Clyburn’s confession about inflation – with Democrat fingerprints found all over that inferno – leads unavoidably to three terms which accurately describe their war on Americans and the Republic in general: malice, malevolence and mendacity. 

Democrat officeholders have acted with malice, defined as a “desire to cause pain, injury, or distress to another.” They are motivated by malevolence, defined as a “bitter persistent hatred that is likely to be expressed in malicious conduct.” They have with mendacious indifference lied about the “transitory” nature of inflation and its causes. 

Each of these characteristics, embedded in the DNA of today’s Democrat politicians and governmental officials, simply underscores the existential need to rid the government of these toxic insects.  If today’s inflation is a blaze, Democrat politicians are the arsonists. 

And if they remain in control after January 1, 2023, is there any rational reason to believe that they won’t persist in setting fires, not caring about the damage?  Stated otherwise, they absolutely know that arson is wrong but they will do it anyway…, and blame the “racist” Republicans.  

Really?  November 8 is just around the corner.  Vote accordingly.
