(Sep. 23, 2022) — The sorry state of our southern border continues as a direct result of the Biden administration’s policies.

The indispensable Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin recently reported 2.1 million “migrant encounters” at the border this fiscal year, and pointed out this figure doesn’t include more than 500,000 known “gotaways.”

The end of September marks the end of the federal fiscal year so let’s see what the final reported figure will be.

What’s astonishing is Biden administration officials will claim with a straight face that the border is secure when we all know it isn’t.

Of course, the Biden Border Rush is not an accident – it is a deliberate government agenda.

Allow me to make a plug for BorderHawk.news, a news aggregation site linking dozens of stories chronicling the disaster on our southern border.

Here are just a few recent samples found on BorderHawk.news which illustrate the ongoing national security and humanitarian disaster that is the Biden Border.

  • A tweet from Griff Jenkins reporting, “Migrants are dying at an unprecedented rate… CBP sources tell FOX News: 782 deaths FY22 so far – 30 in September alone. That’s more than double ever on record.”

The Biden administration doesn’t seem concerned. I guess they just regard it as collateral damage in their plan to remake America.
  • A report by Lyndsey Fifield presents a video featuring the fire chief of Eagle Pass – a Texas border town where I’ve spent a lot of time – in which he discusses the increase of drownings in the Rio Grande, a treacherous river forming the border between the U.S. and Mexico that has claimed many lives.
  • A Bill Melugin video shows a boy struggling in the river who receives help that may have prevented his drowning.
  • Another Melugin video shows illegal aliens strolling the streets of Eagle Pass, Texas.

“There are groups of migrants who have been released from federal custody walking around the city of Eagle Pass right now, appearing unsure of where to go. Border Patrol and local police are approaching them. We’ve seen others camping out in front of gas stations after release,” Melugin reports.

Fox News now has its own drone on the border, so yet another Bill Melugin tweet shares a thermal imaging video of illegals crossing into Texas in the early morning.

Melugin writes: “Within just 2 hours in Eagle Pass, TX this AM, we saw 3 large groups totaling 500+ crossing illegally in three spots.”

Speaking of Bill Melugin, BorderHawk.news links to a Politico piece explaining how the intrepid reporter is – unsurprisingly – resented by the Biden administration.

According to the article:

In recent days, several current and former White House and administration officials expressed to West Wing Playbook [a Politico column] their increasing frustration with his [Melugin’s] on-air coverage, arguing that there is an alarmist quality to it, designed to feed political narratives rather than illuminate the actual issues feeding the migrant flow.

Well, yeah, they would say that wouldn’t they?

A Daily Caller video, posted by Jorge Ventura Media, shows footage from El Paso, another Texas border city.

“While the mainstream media focuses on Martha’s Vineyard, in El Paso, Venezuela women and children dig through donated clothes as they prepare for another night of sleeping on the streets due to overcapacity shelters here,” the caption explains.

Speaking of the Martha’s Vineyard story, it certainly showed the hypocrisy of well-heeled open borders boosters, as do the reactions to similar arrivals of illegals to some of our northern cities.

They bellyache about the relatively small influx of illegal aliens while border towns deal with thousands.

The federal government isn’t protecting the border, so governors need to protect it.

How about if border governors started massive deportations to Mexico?

Drastic times call for drastic measures.
