(Jul. 8, 2022) — Not only confirming that Donald J. Trump will seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2024, in a GETTR post on Friday former White House Trade Advisor Peter Navarro said with certainty Trump’s vice-presidential choice will be Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Trump served as the 45th president of the United States and has staunchly maintained that had it not been for widespread, systemic fraud across 6-7 “swing” states, he would have been re-elected to a second consecutive term on November 3, 2020.

DeSantis is currently running for re-election in Florida, where he has signed landmark legislation relating to parental controls in children’s education and hospital visitation as well as recommended against COVID-19 vaccination of children under five years of age, contrary to the CDC’s recommendation.

For more than a year, Trump has been holding rallies reminiscent of his 2016 and 2020 campaign events without expressly stating whether or not he will seek the presidency in 2024. However, following the July 4 holiday weekend, he appeared to affirm he will declare his candidacy this fall “or maybe sooner” when he posted a link to a video depicting the refurbishing of his 2016 campaign airliner, which now bears the “TRUMP” insignia in gold lettering against a black, red and white color scheme.

On Thursday, Navarro posted a video promotion to his new book, “Taking Back Trump’s America” and screenshot of an “Opinion” article published at The Daily Caller titled, “A Sizzling Hot Trump VEEP Sweepstakes.”

On Thursday, Navarro posted on the social-media platform GETTR a promotion of his new book, “

The op-ed is actually an excerpt from the book, Navarro explained in Thursday’s video announcement, which “works through the possible choices for Trump’s running mate.”

“Boss, let’s get into the race right now; let’s get this key VP decision right early,” Navarro urges Trump in the video.

Overall, Navarro states, the Trump team wishes to avoid the “nightmare choices we got stuck with in the first term,” going as far as to call former Vice President Mike Pence a “traitor.”

A percentage of the book’s purchases will go to his legal defense team, Navarro said, referring to his June 3 arrest by the FBI while attempting to board a flight at Reagan National Airport. Navarro was indicted by a federal grand jury for “contempt of Congress” as a result of the January 6 Committee’s subpoena requesting him to testify and turn over documentation relating to any role Trump might have played in the January 6, 2021 “insurrection” at the U.S. Capitol. As with former Trump aides Mark Meadows and Dan Scavino, who were ultimately not prosecuted, Navarro claims any documentation or exchanges he had with then-President Trump could be protected from disclosure by executive privilege.

In November, former Trump adviser and host of “War Room” Stephen K. Bannon was indicted on a similar charge.

Navarro’s Daily Caller column begins:

Pick your VP early boss! That’s a key piece of advice for President Trump from my new book “Taking Back Trump’s America,” and the stakes in this decision are particularly high.

A feckless Joe Biden has placed this nation on a collision course with everything from an unprecedented stagflation crisis and collateral financial market meltdown to a border invasion and possible nuclear confrontations with China or Russia. Only Trump-style leadership and policies can save us from what may become an irreversible American decline, and the November 2024 election can’t come soon enough.

Accordingly, the Republican Party must avoid at all costs any of the internecine warfare that often populates presidential primaries – and wounds standard bearers for the general election. An uncontested primary would eliminate such bloodshed; and the best guarantee of that is an unassailable – and invincible – Trump ticket.

Navarro’s book, already indicated as a bestseller, is available on pre-order or Kindle here or at Simon & Schuster.

One important fact to note is that both Trump and DeSantis live in Florida. One will have to take up residence elsewhere in order not to cause a constitutional issue. Otherwise, a Trump/DeSantis ticket is an awesome plan. See: 12th Amendment and Electoral Count Act.

It would be great if Trump is POTUS from 2025 to 2029 and THEN DeSantis becomes POTUS from 2029 to 2037.
