(Jun. 8, 2022) — As posted on former New Mexico law professor David Clements’s Telegram account Tuesday night, lawandcrime.com has confirmed that a single charge of “obstruction” has been dismissed by U.S. District Court Judge Carl Nichols against January 6, 2021 defendant Edward Jacob (“Jake”) Lang.
Lang is the narrator of a newly-released film featured at The Gateway Pundit titled, “The Truth about January 6th.” According to TGP, Lang recorded the narration while in solitary confinement for his participation in a protest on January 6, 2021 as Congress prepared to certify the Electoral College votes for Joe Biden.
There was much turmoil arising from the reported election results and hundreds of testimonies to state legislators claiming widespread fraud, violations of law and the acceptance of mail-in ballots delivered well beyond the statutory deadline.
Since the day after the election, Trump has claimed he won, and several states have launched investigations into what occurred in the weeks leading up to Election Day on November 3, 2020.
Footage from “Tucker Carlson Tonight” is included in the film. In September Carlson issued his own documentary on the incursion at the U.S. Capitol that day available on “Fox Nation,” a subscriber platform of the Fox News Channel.
“This was a protest about a rigged election,” Trump is depicted stating in the new documentary in an interview with Candace Owens (7:05).
An individual Trump described as a “pipe-bomber” who left explosives at the headquarters of the DNC and RNC on January 5, 2021 has not been identified by the FBI despite what Trump said are clear pictures.
On Monday “Conservative Daily” host Joe Oltmann interviewed Lang, who said the film was “released today” at the website j6truth.org/.
Lang faces 12 other charges in connection with the events of January 6. In his interview with Oltmann, he attributed his “focus” to his faith in God and Jesus Christ.
