(Aug. 2, 2021) — Mark Twain said it best: “There are lies; there are damn lies; then there are statistics.” Today, Twain’s observations have no better example than those that appear daily in the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party, formerly known as the independent mainstream media.

The most recent example of the truth of his remarks comes amid the recent reports of the “cataclysmic” spike in the number of “confirmed” cases of C-19 “variant” infections and deaths, not only trumpeted by the Washington Post, the Gray Trollop and CNN, but by virtually all of the other pandemic porn peddlers infecting the airwaves and the Internet.  And academia is not far behind.

However, as insightfully reported at Townhall.com, the porn peddlers’ attempt to turbocharge the actual increase in the numbers of cases, hospitalizations and deaths attributable to the disease by relying on percentages rather than actual numbers and source reporting protocols is now exposed.

As reported here, relying on old data, a Johns Hopkins University report last week claimed there was a 300% increase in the number of deaths from the India variant, PC-rebranded the “Delta Variant” by the Centers for Disease “Control” (sic), (“CDC”) and the Biden Regime.  The Townhall article correctly notes: “You were made to think that there was a 300 percent increase in deaths.  There’s a reason why the media focuses on percentages instead of figures.  You can make a slight uptick in deaths into something more horrifying by adding a percentage to it.”

Precisely.  If last month, for example, 50 elderly people died from the infection, but this week 150 people died, that is a 300% increase.  In a nation of some 333 million people, the deaths of 50 people, while lamentable, amounts to but 0.00000015 of the total.  And the deaths of 150 people amounts to 0.00000045 of the total.

And even if one increases the number of actual deaths by a factor of ten, a hundred or even more, the application of a percentage to express the “spike” can make it look even more problematic and ominous.  This, of course, is the objective of the panic peddlers.  Scare the public in order to advance the narrative: obey or suffer, you Walmart serfs.

By expressing the death toll increase of one week over the prior week as a percentage spike, the Johns Hopkins report and the eager C-19 panic porn merchants seek to set off alarm bells that we are now headed back to mass lockdowns, quadruple masking and another few years of “remote learning.”  The only solution: listen to Herr Fauci, do as you are told…. and ignore altogether those illegal aliens infected with the C-19 virus streaming across the southern border.

Speaking of the continuing tsunami of illegal aliens pouring over the border – yes, your humble servant will continue to refer to them as such, consistent with federal law as discussed here – in perhaps the dumbest lawsuit yet authorized by Attorney General Merrick Garland, the Department of “Justice” (sic) has filed a lawsuit against Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

Abbott has signed an executive order barring the ground transport over Texas highways of illegal aliens who are or may be carrying the C-19 virus.  The DOJ suit claims that Abbott’s order “interferes with the federal government’s ability to deal with immigration.”  Garland had previously warned Abbott that his order “would jeopardize the health and safety of noncitizens in federal government custody.”

Seriously?  The DOJ is in effect arguing that Texas cannot police its own roads to stop the federal government from facilitating the Goofball-in-Chief’s continuing failure to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed,” including 8 U.S.C. § 1325, welcoming in an illegal flood of potentially C-19 positive “undocumented Democrats.”  This is how the Goofball regime is “dealing with immigration?”  And this is supposed to pass for competent governance of the planet’s last remaining “shining city on a hill?”  Really?

Faithful P&E readers, if ever there were a time in the history of this Republic to remove Democrats, Marxists, leftists, socialists, collectivists and their ilk from the halls of Congress and the White House, it is now.  Not tomorrow; not next month; not in 2022.  It is now.  That is why, once more, the proposal made here is repeated and triple-downed upon (yes, Virginia, that is a new term befitting the gravity of the situation).  It may be only a first step, but as they say, the longest journey begins with the first step.

We are no longer in merely choppy waters: we are nearing the maelstrom whirlpool in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean.  Not good.  Bad.  Really bad.

And if you think things will get better by leaving Nancy Pelosi as second in the line of executive office succession, you need to cut back on your controlled substances and seek professional help.

These Covid hoax proponents do the same fake science with other numbers.
They have 10000 infected patients, they test 1000, divided by 2 for the control group, so 500 people get a medication…..and the resultant outcome is then projected to decide the drug & treatment protocol which will decide the medical outcomes for 333 million people ?????
This is a corporate game of profit over liability, relentlessly pushing a one-size-fits-all theory to get the profits, and leaving taxpayers to foot the bill for the “unfortunate outcomes” of patients who don’t respond to treatment.
It ignores race, genetics, pre-existing conditions, etc. in the name of pill factory profits.

The following saying, often attributed to Samuel Clemens and sometimes refuted applies to the inoculation poisons (aka vaccines) coerced on uninformed U.S. citizens and others around the globe to purportedly combat the CONvid-19 scamdemic, fits-the-bill: It’s easier to fool a person than to convince them that they’ve been fooled.

Horses are smarter than humans. You can lead a human to the vaccine station and you can make them take it.

The masters of literature, such as Mark Twain, are able to employ words to represent reality accurately. More about Twain and youth at crossthegap.org under literature and poetry. Linked there is Hillsdale College President lecture on Twain.

Any comment on the early (for once DeMaio was right about something) Laity rehearing denial and the lack of a comment by Justice Thomas?

“They looked at each other and they decided, ‘We know that in the world, as it has been, it might not be possible for us to get together and have a child, but something is stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Ala., because some folks are willing to march across the bridge.’ And so they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born. So don’t tell me I don’t have a claim on Selma, Ala.!”
— Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., 50th Anniversary of the 1965 Civil Rights March in Selma, Alabama.

The “Certificate Of Live Birth” released to the public indicates he was born in 1961 — FOUR YEARS before he said his parents got together and he was born.

Any comment?

First off – this is not the “50th Anniversary of the 1965 Civil Rights March in Selma, Alabama“. That wa# in 2015.

The speech you cite is from the 42nd anniversary of the “Bloody Selma” March that he gave in 2007.

If you read the entire speech (link below) you see he is using a rhetorical device. He is tying together the entire civil rights movement.

“And it’s because they marched that the next generation hasn’t been bloodied so much.”

“It’s because they marched that we elected councilmen, congressmen. It is because they marched that we have Artur Davis and Keith Ellison. It is because they marched that I got the kind of education I got, a law degree, a seat in the Illinois senate and ultimately in the United States senate.”

“It is because they marched that i stand before you here today.”

“Yet something happened back here in Selma, Alabama. Something happened in Birmingham that sent out what Bobby Kennedy called, “Ripples of hope all around the world.” Something happened when a bunch of women decided they were going to walk instead of ride the bus after a long day of doing somebody else’s laundry, looking after somebody else’s children. When men who had PhD’s decided that’s enough and we’re going to stand up for our dignity. That sent a shout across oceans so that my grandfather began to imagine something different for his son. His son, who grew up herding goats in a small village in Africa could suddenly set his sights a little higher and believe that maybe a black man in this world had a chance.”

His reference to the Bobby Kennedy speech is

“Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.[link below]”

It wasn’t meant to taken literally.
