What we witnessed the other day was truly alarming: an irrational attempt to put together a coherent and unemotional argument explaining why, if the election were honest and above board, it is necessary to thwart all attempts at a public audit. A rational person would be glad to ‘open the books’ of any scrutiny of an honest election, irrespective of who does the counting, as long as it’s out in the open for all to see as it is happening.
