(Mar. 26, 2021) — When your humble servant began this post, the topic was to address the insanity of the growing pestilence spreading across the nation called “cancel culture.” The intellectual Neanderthals populating this movement make malignant tumors look attractive.
But then your servant recalled that a prior offering here had briefly addressed the disease and that, more recently, two excellent P&E posts here and here made many of the same points which might otherwise have been raised. Time to re-evaluate.
Never letting an initiated post go to waste, however, your servant selected another topic: the ever-growing need to again consider the “left-field-beyond-the-warning-track” proposal outlined here. After witnessing the scripted and abjectly embarrassing propaganda event in the East Room of the White House yesterday – the gathering masquerading as a “press conference” – the need to bring to an immediate halt the policy catastrophes being proposed by the Goofball-in-Chief’s marionette-masters and the Democrats in Congress is even more urgent. The choreographed event was painful to witness, but the participating media apparatchiks seemed to enjoy it. The term “masochism” comes to mind.
And when U.S. Court of Appeals D.C. Circuit Judge Laurence Silberman notes, albeit in a dissent, that “the New York Times and the Washington Post are virtually Democratic Party broadsheets” and that “[n]early all television – network and cable – is a Democratic Party trumpet,” you know…, or should know…, that a serious threat to this constitutional Republic is metastasizing. The Mollie Hemingway Federalist article linked in the preceding sentence is a good read, as is Judge Silberman’s dissent.
Unchecked or untreated, a cancer can kill a constitutional republic just as quickly as it can kill a human being. To analogize the masthead motto of The Washington Post (“Democracy Dies in Darkness”), constitutional republics are also threatened when the only profession protected by the First Amendment manipulates the news, suppresses the truth, promotes darkness and becomes the “broadsheet” of the Democrat Party. Yes, Virginia, Goebbels would be proud. Accordingly, there is no time to waste…, and November 2022 is too far in the future.
The “outside-the-box” proposal involves immediately launching a rationally-based appeal to the patriotism buried deep in the minds of six (6) Democrat members of the House of Representatives. Their identities are at present unknown, but it is a good bet that they are Americans first and Democrats second. There is also reason to believe that at least six – perhaps many more – House Democrats are as appalled as their GOP colleagues at the outright despotic abuses of power now being practiced by the Wretch of San Crapcisco, Speaker Nancy (“Of-course-we-can-expel-Representative-Marianette Miller-Meeks”) Pelosi.
Without doubt, the Wretch must be regarded as one of the most, if not the most vengeful, shallow and tyrannical “leaders” of “The People’s House” since the inception of the Republic…, and that is saying a lot. But hey, the media will spin it as another “first” for women’s’ progress. Sad.
But I digress.
The “who will dance” hypothetical set out in your servant’s prior post recently got a little easier with the seating of Claudia Tenney, the new Republican representative from New York’s 22nd District. As a result – and assuming that there are no GOP defections such as being addressed here as to Democrats – it would now take only six (6) Democrat patriotic Americans to abandon the Democrat Party and become Republicans, thereby shifting the balance of power in the House from Democrat to Republican, assuming the Democrats’ despicable attempt to expel Representative Miller-Meeks fails, as it should.
Not only would this put an immediate cramp in the styles and lunatic proposals of legislators like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley – to mention but a few –, it would result in the replacement of the Wretch as Speaker with someone other than… the Wretch. That alone would be worth the attempt. Remember, as of today, the Wretch is second in the line of succession behind Kamala Harris…, and Harris’s tenure seems arguably a bit at risk.
The larger goal, of course, is not the replacement of Pelosi as Speaker with a rational being, but instead to apply the emergency brakes to the mad dash over the cliff for the Republic being engineered by (a) the D.C. marionette-masters; (b) the “broadsheet” propagandists; and (c) of course, the vacant Goofball-in-Chief. Oh, and his sidekick, the likely ineligible Vice-President. Ya think a bat-guano crazy Pelosi might be tempted to raise the Harris eligibility issue…, just for fun? Just sayin’.
In this regard, although she is no longer a member of the House, it has been suggested that Tulsi Gabbard might be a potential GOP convert, although an intellectual epiphany on her part would not immediately impact the balance of power in the House.
On the other hand, if Gabbard were the first person to “stand up and dance,” as suggested here, and, say, suggest to her other former colleagues in the House that they should consider doing the same, perhaps the needed change gains momentum. Again, it now takes only six Democrat patriots to follow the lead of former Democrat Ronald Reagan to come to the aid of their country. Clearly, none in the media – The New York Times; The WaPo; CNN; MSNBC; CBS; NBC; ABC – are willing to do that, so one of the few remaining alternatives is this “outside-the-box” proposal.
I mean, we are only talking here about the survival of the Republic…, aren’t we? Any better suggestions? I’ll wait.
