(Oct. 20, 2020) — “Tchaikovsky – 6 Pieces, Op 51, Valse sentimentale” (1:58)

“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ the place to hear it here first. We’re back with our favorite professor, the eminently successful author of numerous bestsellers, our vey own Professor Zorkophsky. Welcome to the show.”

“Thank you, Roving, always glad to be here to hawk my latest. And, please, call me ‘Zork’ as long as we’re in the General’s study. I must say, there are enough weapons in this room to start a war. And will you look at that suit of armor.”

“Yes, it’s a beautiful work of art. It’s for real, I mean; it’s a real antique. The chainmail is especially well-done. I understand that the General is into jousting, is that so?”

“Yes; he’s into the medieval reenactment pageants, usually in conjunction with a Shakespearean festival. Did you know that I was in a play at one time in my life? I danced the minuet. The General used to have a horse but they recently outlawed using real horses.”

“Oh, so what do they use now?”

“Well, they sit on small wooden horses with wheels and they’re pulled down the chute by people wearing horse masks.”

“Are you making this up or is this for real?”

“For real; I even saw one once, one of these pageants. You can bet on them, you know.”

“No, I didn’t know that. Did you say ‘horse masks?’”

“I should have said ‘horse suits,’ I guess. You know, the one in the front wears the head and the one in the back has the tail.”

“Oh, I see. Ever win any money?”

“No, the one I bet on ran sideways down the chute; the one wearing the head cut the right ear off and the one in the back cut a hole and glued some window screen over the hole:  you know, to fool the judges.”

“But the judges weren’t fooled. What do you say we take a commercial break and then get to your new book: ‘A New World Order in the Eyes of the Mob‘”?

“Let’s do it.”

Never Not Had Horses” (3:48)

“Okay, Zork, we’re back, so how about telling us about your new book?”

“Be more than glad to, Roving. It is, basically, a reminder for everyone who took the Oath that it has no expiration date, which means that a lot of our governors, mayors and cops (read FBI) are seriously lacking in PATRIOTISM.”

“That’s right, isn’t it: to defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

“And then I explain about mobs; how they are controlled. It is, in short, a treatise on the psychological controls that mobs encompass.”

“Mobs have rules?”

“Most definitely, and the trick is to know when to stop. The fallacy of a revolution is when the revolutionaries take control.”

“You mean like what happened in Cuba; Castro led the revolution but refused to relinquish control. What about our own revolution?”

“The exception to the rule, and that’s a fact. Matter of fact, George Washington was offered the Crown of America but turned it down. We were lucky enough to have the Constitution, which limited the government overstepping control over the populace.”

“You mean like Fascism?”

“Socialism with control, if you will, where the government and private enterprise are co-owners; Communism is where the government not only controls the businesses but owns them as well, as in China.”

“So you wrote another textbook?”

“Here’s the thing, Roving. Textbooks are a guaranteed income: ‘X’ number of schools and libraries, which covers the start-up costs; then the gravy is what the layperson, your listeners, buys.”

“Some of your textbooks have been made into movies; will this be one of them?”

“It could be made into a spy thriller. I mean, how many lies do we have to hear from the FBI until we figure out that they’re nothing but slimy swamp critters, wallowing in the mire next to Schumer and Pelosi, not to mention Biden.”

“Good point. Hey, will you just look at the time? Well, what a great show. Time to say goodnight: Goodnight.

“Okay, Zork, the bottom line.”

“The bottom line is that the American people got taken for a ride by Biden and a slew of others. It is imperative that those who took the Oath honor it by, first, voting for Trump.”

“Good point. Burger time: my treat.”

Long Gone Lonesome Blues” (2:38)
