(May 14, 2020) — “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ the place to hear whatever we think you should hear here first. The following was recorded after Rook Dunkins excellent sermon, Following in the Footsteps of the Christ Child the other day.

“A most excellent sermon, Rook Dunkin.”

“Thank you, Roving; that’s most gratifying to hear high praise from one usually so cynical. Your profession exposes you to some undesirable people that you would normally avoid, doesn’t it?”

“You tellin’ me? Try standing on a cold, windswept corner only to be accosted by a family from the boondocks of Iowa, the place where the likes of Elizabeth Warren are revered and held dear.”

“Yes, I know what you mean. I’ve instructed our ushers to weed out such undesirables, along with the other usual undesirables that don’t need mentioning since they are so obvious.”

“You mean burqas?”

“To be a Christian doesn’t only mean you have to talk the talk, but you’ve got to walk the walk. We do not allow any people within our church who subscribe to treating others not as they themselves would wish to be treated. We support the Constitution within this house of worship and if any don’t like it, well, I tell them to take a hike.”

“Really?”

“Really, and stupid people are on top of the list; people who believe in unsustainable practices, such as Socialism, are not welcomed. Now, if they would listen to reason, then they are welcomed with open arms, but not those with malice in their hearts; lying through their teeth; wishing themselves and us harm, such as suicide murderers who some call ‘suicide bombers.’”

“Can you be a little more specific? I mean, you’re losing me here.”

“Ignorance due to whatever reason, or no reason, is still a reason.”

“Now how do you figure that?”

“Because even little kids know about pain, so to deliberately teach children to inflict pain and suffering upon others is to teach them how to be psychopaths. Imagine, if at all possible, a whole country filled with psychos. Now a sociopath has the same modus operandi but with a hint of a social conscience: not so with the psychos, who treat others as subhuman, unbelievers and not worth consideration, with exceptions.”

’With exceptions?’”

“It’s too horrible, and I know that ‘Pulse’ is a family show: suffice it to say if you want to know more about the world’s number one enemy, read the reports that came out of the school massacre in 2004 at Beslan, Russia.”

“But this has been going on, year after year, for the past 1,400 years. Why?”

“Why what?”

“Why hasn’t someone put an end to it, once and for all? I remember there was a religious sect in India and then there were the AZTECS in Mexico that were wiped off the face of the earth, so how come Western Civilization has allowed millions of psychos the opportunity to be on our planet? Tell me that, if you can.”

“I cannot; I can only say that we apparently lack the will to save ourselves, and the enemy sees that as a weakness which they are exploiting to the fullest extent.”

“We shouldn’t have to rely on Israel to save the world, should we?”

“Are you kidding? They can’t even figure out that a rock is but a substitute for a bullet. Look, I’m sorry, but I don’t see the United States doing anything about it, do you?”

“A couple of years ago, back in 2012, there was this presidential candidate that would’ve taken care of business, but his time has come and gone, yet the very real problem has just metastasized to the point that there are now Muslims in Congress and the call to prayer is heard over loudspeakers five times a day in Minneapolis.”

“No, the United States lacks the foresight to do what is right. I preach The Word to my congregation so they at least vote with their brain, but I’m just one voice in the wilderness.”

“And with that we’ll be wishing you all a goodnight: Goodnight.

“So an Israeli soldier was killed by a rock; I mean, so was Goliath, so what’s the surprise and the indignation all about? Not my problem: I just report the news. Burger time: my treat.”
