(Apr. 16, 2020) — “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ the place to hear it here first.”

“Welcome back, Roving.”

“Thanks; that was a commuter on her way to the big city. Things are opening up and there are a few who are out and about, including us. I don’t see any masks but from looking across the street there’s about a quarter of the usual riders waiting for the train, which are running about half. Wait: you, there, Roving for ‘Pulse.’ Yes, that squirrel-looking thing held by the sound-boom girl is a microphone. So, care to tell us what’s on your mind?”

“Sure, Roving. Trump acted with great prudence because it’s better to act with caution than not, like prepare for the worse but hope for the best, is what they teach in the military. So it wasn’t like the 1918 flu, but from the first reports you would think it was. So now that we know it’s not, I’m going back to work for the first time in a month. Have a great day, Roving, cameraman and sound–boom girl.”

“You, too. I don’t believe it: Professor Zorkophsky. How are you today, Professor?”

“Fine; hello, all. So it looks like things are getting back to normal and we sure learned a lot, which is why I came down to talk to you about it.”

“Oh?”

“Yes; two things happened simultaneously. First, you had the government preparing for the real thing, a real pandemic. Think of it as if you were selling your house and an interested buyer hires an inspector who gives you the report of how to make it right, and in our case we were short of some stuff; you know, like ventilators and masks, and maybe the communications could’ve been improved from hospital to hospital. Well, we found the weak spots and corrected the problems.”

“Yes, we did, and that’s good. What’s the other one?”

“The other one is we learned how the Deep State is going to implement their draconian laws: the mayors and governors just write a memo and the police act like the government’s GESTAPO agents and the heck with the Bill of Rights. We learned that many in the police are NOT on the side of the Constitution,  as if we didn’t already know. And we learned that the Dems are even dumber than any of us could’ve imagined, is what.”

“Give us a couple of examples, if you would, please.”

“I’m embarrassed to say that buying of seeds was outlawed, as was the purchasing of Old Glory. We learned that the Wuhan coronavirus is a contagious flu bug but it’s not a death sentence and that’s all I wanted to say. Thanks for letting me spout.”

“You’re welcome; always glad to have you on. This I’ll say: if the easily-swayed – Dems – buy into the ‘not selling seeds’ and the police who follow some pretty obviously unlawful Constitutional orders – such as working for mayors who proclaim their city a ‘sanctuary’ — continue to refuse to inform ICE of some pretty violent people, such as MS-13, being released, it’s a sad state of affairs when our fellow American ancestors – The Minutemen – saw the same deal going down and PUT A STOP TO IT.

“If the cops in sanctuary cities and states want our respect then they better start earning it: get rid of this so-called two-tiered  justice system and arrest the turncoats, the mayors and governors who hate our freedoms. Many mayors come to mind, but three governors need mention: Gavin Newsom of California, Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan and Ralph Northam of Virginia. I must say that Gretchen Whitmer has taken the lead for the ‘Dumbest Person Ever to Walk the Earth’ award. I think maybe she doesn’t know that seeds get planted in the spring, or is she so infected with ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ that she is now legally insane*?  So now, on behalf of the crew and Professor Zorkophsky, I would like to wish you all a goodnight: Goodnight.

[*insane: “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country” is no longer in the Dems’ agenda.
