Could the Ft. Hood massacre have been prevented if the U.S. took a different view of radical Islam?

(Apr. 29, 2019) — “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to another exciting episode of ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ being broadcast from Madam Shylock’s Fortune-Telling Emporium in the heart of Cassadaga, FL. Hello, my name is Roving and with me here is our guide to where the truth isn’t doctored to our liking; where if we don’t like it we can’t pretend we never heard it; and where ignorance and stupidity can’t be an excuse, only a reason.”

“Aren’t you forgetting something, city boy?”

“Oh, yes, of course: the money. Take a check? Just kidding; here’s the cash.”

“Thank you. Now, let me see if I understood you correctly: when you got back to the world after Vietnam, it took you years to get over the feeling that some force or alien being or government or something is spying on you, even your thoughts; does that about sum it up?”

“That covers it, Madam Shylock. I just can’t quite shake the feeling.”

“It’s normal from someone who had a near-death experience, especially in combat, thinking that the Grim Reaper is forever hovering just over their shoulder. I’ve seen a lot of nuts, and all I can say is that it never leaves them, the feeling of being expendable as you were when the government sent you into a situation where you had no say and little, if any, control over the eventual outcome. I know you can’t ignore it but do your best, and that’s the best advice you’re ever going to get.”

“That’s it? What about the paranoia about our country being invaded, not by aliens, but by people who you and I wouldn’t want among us for any reason whatsoever?”

“Now that’s a different animal altogether, and with that I’m with you 100%. The people who are paying attention* see it, but for those who haven’t — by this late date — figured it out, well, let’s face it: they never will.”

“Even if the stimulus is exactly the same? I mean, we see the same pictures and hear the same words; eat the same foods; breathe the same air, and yet they and we are on entirely different pages?”

“Different pages, Roving, and not even the same book.”

“Try again.”

“Forget not being on different bases; not even in the same ballpark.”

“One more.”

“You take a plane to Tokyo but your luggage is going to Paris.”

“I get it, but why don’t they?”

“Because the mind only believes what it’s told to believe. If a person believes that Islam is a religion, no amount of documented facts is going to make that person believe otherwise; after all, it’s what they’ve been told and taught all of their lives: Islam is one of the great religions of the world, as it’s plainly stated in texts. What they fail to mention is that Islam is also a form of government that controls through sleep-deprivation; not affording females the same consideration as males in all aspects of the law and education; and, most importantly, the steadfast belief that if others do not share their world view they are the enemy and must be dealt with most harshly and expediently.”

“You mean the part about ‘Kill Jews and Christians wherever Ye may find them’? Is that what you’re saying?”

“And what’s this so-called manifesto malarkey about; can you comment on that?”

“Yes, not only I can but I will. All of this talk from the police about ‘motive’ makes me question if they’ve all been living on Mars since 9-11. In short, the so-called ‘motive,’ the so-called ‘manifesto,’ is in every Muslim household right here in our own country. Think of it this way: whenever a Muslim enters the USA, or Europe, for that matter, they bring the ‘motive manifesto’ with them, the subversive text on how to destroy Western Civilization: the Quran. How much plainer can I make it? How much plainer can they make it?”

“But some still don’t get it, do they?”

“And they never will. Look, there are some in the LGBT+ community who think that being thrown off of tall buildings is okay with them, or why else would they be infected with Trump Derangement Syndrome? Being pro-Israeli is being anti-throwing queers off of tall buildings, get it?”

“I get it but why don’t they?”

“Because hate trumps reason; ignorance trumps intellect; and stupidity trumps all.”

“Okay, now getting back to the subject at hand: it’s a fact of life that Muslims murder everyone, even their own of a different sect; isn’t that correct?”

“So, what, we end up beating a dead horse? I mean, how much more in-your-face does it have to get? Look, we used to make fun of the anti-Trumpsters for actually believing that the Russians – or any other country – would want Trump instead of Hillary, but the derision has turned to pity, as in ‘How far beyond stupid can you get?’ I actually pity Adam Schiff for, well, I guess being himself for exposing the insufferable aspect of his personality.”

“You’re answering your own question, Roving. Here, let me give you a partial refund, enough to buy us all burgers. But about Schiff, I agree with you: he saw the Mueller report that exonerated President Trump 100%. And one more thing: how can you obstruct justice on a crime that has never been committed?”

“A rhetorical question. Gee, thanks for the money. Well, I guess we can tell the San Diego police to save themselves the trouble interrogating the so-called ‘suspect’ to determine the motive for the Poway synagogue murder. I mean, an anti-Semite, BY ANY OTHER NAME, acts as an anti-Christian, a NAZI, a Khmer Rouge, a Socialist, Communist, Tototarlianist, Nihilist, which automatically puts one at the bottom of the infamous list that no one wants to be on.”

“I’d like to say one more thing before we sign off: a military person shoots to kill, not to take prisoners, understand? Remember that scum, Major Nidal Hasan, who murdered 13 at Fort Hood back in ’09? I rest my case.  And now it’s that time for me, on behalf of the crew, to wish you all a goodnight: Goodnight.

“Good show, and thank you, Madam Shylock, for being so forthright in your answers, and since I’ve got the money, it’s burger time: my treat.”

[*Paying attention: notice people in the background of TV commercials, besides all of the other stuff in the foreground. They may want you to buy a car, but they could be selling something else entirely different.]

[Note: unbelievable as it seems, our military is allowing Muslims to serve, as if the attack on Camp Pennsylvania, Kuwait in 2003 never happened. One has to wonder about the sanity of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, because I sure in the heck do.]
