“NEFARIOUS SCHEMES”

(Dec. 26, 2018) — “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ the place where an apology isn’t a prerequisite for exposing the truth. Hello, my name is Roving and I’ll be your host for this episode. We’re broadcasting from an undisclosed location — for the safety of our guest — who has quite a story to tell, starting all the way back to 1960, in the poppy fields of the Golden Triangle. Okay, mystery guest, you’ve got the floor.”
“Are you sure you can keep my identity secret?”
“You want the truth? Yes, you can trust us, but we can’t trust the Deep State, now, can we? We can’t trust the traitors in Congress, the DOJ, the FBI and all the other alphabet soups, so as soon as this broadcast is over, we grab a burger and go back to the studio where we edit and transcribe the product, which gives you around nine hours to vanish before we air it or it goes to The Post & Email.”
“Fair enough.”
“Alright, how did it all start?”
“It all started with a bunch of Ivy League do-gooders — working for the Christians In Action — trying to figure out how to appropriate money for the various schemes that they were cooking up all over the world; problem was, if they asked Congress for funds they’d want to know what-for and it would be on the front page the next day, or they’d be turned down, or both.”
“So what did they do, to get the funds to pay for their nefarious schemes?”
“They went into the drug business.”
“Just drugs?”
“That’s right, they went after the big money from the get-go. They went to the source, the epicenter of it all: the poppy fields of Laos. Oh, there’s other production centers: Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Afghanistan, to name a few, which is basically the story of how the Flying Tiger Cargo Airline got its start: transporting morphine paste into the United States. They sell it to the Cosa Nostra.”
“The Mob?”
“That’s right, they fly right into Midway or Idlewild, bypass Customs, which they could easily do because they – the CIA – were calling the shots. Then the gangsters would offload the planes, mainly war-surplus DC-6’s, and off they go to make another run.”
“The money was that good?”
“Look, the pilots used to joke that they were making in a year almost what Elvis made in a month: half a million.”
“Five hundred thousand a year was really big money back in the 1960s.”
“That’s right. If the CIA took in millions, just think how much the gangsters were making. Anyway, getting to the corruption in the United Nations, it was just hundreds of thousands here and there, sometimes millions, but when the Iraqi Oil for Food program started, the thousands became millions and the millions billions, and it hasn’t slowed down one bit.”
“No way. You mean the flow of morphine base* hasn’t abated?”
“No, it hasn’t. Consider marijuana is to hashish as opium is to morphine and you’re beginning to get the picture. You can make all kinds of stuff from morphine paste, from heroin to codeine and everything in between.”
“So people are making money from the Afghan poppy fields, is that what you’re saying?”
“All I’m saying is that the Russian interference in Afghanistan and then the American interference in Afghanistan hasn’t slowed the morphine paste production down one bit, and you can take that to the bank, which a lot of people are doing. You start to mess with the drug trade, and it affects—directly – big money flowing in the form of bribes, payoffs, kickbacks and campaign contributions. Drugs are to people like money is to politics, it’s that basic. Look, I think I said enough already so I’ll be on my way into hiding.”
“Okay, and thanks for talking with us. The world marches to the drumbeat of revolutions around the sun while the poppy plant just goes about its life cycle protected by the flow of money around the world. Makes you wonder who rules the roost, governments or the drug lords?”
“Will you look at that? He wrote on his napkin while he was talking to us. What’s this say? The billions that were funneled into the pockets of UN employees are still in the pockets of UN employees, which doesn’t say a heck of a lot about who we can trust, does it?
“It’s that time when the clock says we’ve reached our limit, so I’ll have to say, well, what do you say we get the heck out of the UN? Kick them out of our country, like now. Bulldoze the UN building and give the land back to the birds: make it a wildlife sanctuary. That’s it and so, on behalf of the crew, let me wish you all a goodnight: Goodnight.
“Great show. Let’s grab some burgers on the way back: my treat.”
