“THE TRUTH IS THE ENEMY OF THE LIE”
by Sharon Rondeau
(Nov. 17, 2018) — Approximately six minutes into an interview on Friday night with “Freedom Friday” host Carl Gallups, Obama birth certificate lead investigator Mike Zullo reacted to excerpts of Michelle Obama’s new book, “Becoming,” previewed by The New York Times and other outlets prior to its November 13 release.
A summary of the first segment of the show is here.
In her book, Michelle Obama notably raised Donald Trump’s 2011 questioning of her husband’s birthplace and, by extension, his constitutional eligibility to serve as president. Barack Hussein Obama was elected in 2008 on a wave of “Hope and Change” and the prospect of becoming America’s “first black president.”
Article II, Section 1, clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution requires that the president and commander-in-chief be a “natural born Citizen.” While the Framers did not offer an exact definition of the term, there is evidence in the Congressional Globe and at least four U.S. Supreme Court cases indicating that a natural born Citizen is a person born in the United States to parents who are U.S. citizens.
In the summer of 1787, future first U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Jay wrote a letter to George Washington, who was presiding over the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, in which he “hinted” that the “command in chief” of the “american army” should be none other than a “natural born Citizen” to avoid any foreign allegiances from affecting his decision-making.
Barack Obama claims a birth on August 4, 1961 at the Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children in Honolulu, HI, although neither that facility nor any other in Hawaii has confirmed his birth there.
Between August 2011 and December 2016, Zullo served as lead investigator of a criminal probe authorized by then-Maricopa County Sheriff Joseph Arpaio into the origins of the “long-form” birth certificate image posted at the White House website on April 27, 2011. At the first of three press conferences, on March 1, 2012, Zullo announced that investigators found the image to be a “computer-generated forgery.”
Also found fraudulent was Obama’s purported Selective Service registration form, Zullo said, copies of which were mailed to an unknown number of FOIA requesters beginning in late 2008. There are at least two different versions of the record as evidenced by those who received from the Selective Service System (SSS).
Zullo repeated in Friday night’s interview his statement first issued in August that two well-placed members of the U.S. intelligence community told him it is “an open secret” that Barack Obama does not meet the requirement that the president be born in the United States.
Gallups introduced the contention Michelle Obama made in her book that she “would never forgive” Donald Trump for publicly demanding that the Obama White House release proof that its then-occupant was constitutionally eligible to serve. During the discussion, Zullo noted that since Obama left office, it is his supporters who raise the issue of his birthplace, birth certificate, or eligibility in general rather than his critics.
This past spring, former Obama Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer previewed his upcoming book, “Yes We (Still) Can: Politics in the Age of Obama, Twitter, and Trump,” a full chapter of which is dedicated to the purported preparations and release of the long-form birth certificate image. Zullo recalled the fact that Pfeiffer admitted that there was a “media blackout” on the issue.
The mainstream media only grudgingly covered the three press conferences Zullo gave while releasing increasingly more detail about how investigators reached their conclusions of fraud and forgery in Obama’s documents. Rather than launching their own investigations, the mainstream media chose to label anyone questioning Barack Obama’s history the pejorative “birther,” a term still used today.
Zullo attributed the release of the long-form birth certificate image to Donald Trump. “He made that thing come to the forefront, along the same time that Jerry Corsi was releasing the book on the birth certificate issue, so they had to get in front of that.”
Corsi’s book, released on May 17, 2011, is titled, “Where’s the Birth Certificate?: The Case that Barack Obama is not Eligible to be President.”
Gallups mentioned the Breitbart 2012 discovery that Obama’s former literary agent had published Obama’s biography to say that he was “born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.” The assertion was later said by the agent to have been a “fact checking error” on her part.
This past summer, Barack Obama visited Kenya and described himself in a speech as being the first U.S. president to be “from Kenya.” The media in general has rushed to say that Obama’s father was born in Kenya and the son born in Hawaii.
Zullo reminded the audience that Michelle Obama had claimed in a campaign speech that her husband’s “home country” is, in fact, Kenya. Quoting from a dictionary definition of the term, Zullo then said, “So these people keep making comments like this and they wonder why the issue just never goes away. I’ll tell you why it never goes away: It’s because it goes back to Nazi propaganda by the minister of propaganda for Adolf Hiter, Joseph Geobbels…This is his quote: ‘If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such a time that the state can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It does become vitally important for the state to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the state.'”
Zullo maintained that the Obama regime did not expect that Arpaio or anyone would commission an investigation into the image and discover its lack of authenticity. “Donald Trump forced it out. They thought they had that thing put in the box. They never counted on Joe Arpaio to pick up the ball,” he said.
He said that in response, the government and media practiced “repression” to quash “all dissent,” “because the truth is the enemy of the lie. This birth certificate holds such dire consequences for that man and that presidency that at all costs, they will do anything, anything, to never let that truth come out.”
