(Oct. 17, 2018) — The Post & Email learned late last week that Robert Z. Whipple, III, a former Tennessee state inmate, is now employed full-time on a permanent basis.

Whipple has a background in customer service and holds an Associate’s Degree.  He was imprisoned after having broken the law to feed a drug habit from which he has now been free for eight years.

In May Whipple was released from prison to a halfway house, where he took on the responsibilities of daily work as well as required chores at his temporary home.

He has since relocated outside of Tennessee and is pleased to have been hired in the field of personnel staffing.  Frustrated with his job search prior to that point, Whipple is grateful to have landed the opportunity.  “I am really enjoying it so far, and think it is a great fit,” he told us on Wednesday.

Good news for a change. Finding a job post imprisonment is challenging, finding respectable work one enjoys is astounding. Best of luck!
