“A SHAM INVESTIGATION”

by Sharon Rondeau

(Jun. 8, 2018) — On Friday’s edition of “Hannity,” investigative reporter Sara A. Carter and Fox News Legal Analyst Gregg Jarrett discussed the “leak” of the Justice Department’s inspector general’s report earlier this week which said that former FBI Director James Comey was “insubordinate” at times while serving in the Obama regime.

The report is expected to be made public on June 14, two days after President Trump’s historic meeting with North Korean Kim Jong-Un in Singapore.

Jarrett predicted that Inspector General Michael Horowitz will “probably not” go as far as to say that Hillary Clinton broke the law by using a private email server while she served as Obama’s secretary of state.  It is well-established that Clinton sent classified and top-secret information over the server which was virtually certainly intercepted by foreign actors.

For nearly 18 months, Horowitz and his team have been investigating possible politically-motivated actions by the FBI and the DOJ regarding the server probe, which concluded that Clinton should not face criminal charges.

Carter affirmed that her sources have said that the IG’s report will likely say that certain individuals “are going to be looking at possible obstruction.” She also said she has been told that “there will be a criminal referral from this report,” reminding viewers that Horowitz can only make referrals for criminal investigation rather than filing charges himself.

Horowitz is expected to testify to Congress the week following the report’s release.

Carter has been aggressively reporting the Justice Department’s failure to turn over documents to House and Senate committees carrying out investigations into why the FBI launched a counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign in 2016, if not earlier.

Of the FBI’s probing of Clinton’s use of the private server, Jarrett said, “It appears to have been a sham investigation.”

Documents released by the Senate on Monday show that Comey was originally going to refer the results of the FBI’s Clinton probe to the Justice Department for evaluation, but his public statement made on July 5, 2016 claimed that Clinton was only “extremely careless,” not criminally negligent in her handling of classified information.

On Thursday, Carter reported that the Justice Department reneged on its commitment to provide documents to the House Intelligence Committee associated with the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation, which the committee’s chairman, Devin Nunes, said in April was launched without any “underlying intelligence” to justify it.

Since then, both The New York Times and The Washington Post have said that an “informant” was dispatched by the FBI to interact with members of the Trump campaign in the interests of discovering whether or not there was Russian influence to help Trump win the 2016 presidential election.  Nunes has been seeking documents associated with the individual’s FBI function.

Jarrett said that he believes the inspector general’s report will fault former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, although not criminally; and that former FBI Counterintelligence Deputy Director Peter Strzok, Comey and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe could face serious criminal prospects.

Jarrett has long opined on Twitter and on “Hannity” that systemic corruption among DOJ and FBI officials resulted in a number of statutory violations.  His new book, “The Russia Hoax:  The Illicit Scheme to Clear Hillary Clinton and Frame Donald Trump,” is expected to be published next week.

McCabe was fired in mid-March while on “terminal leave” from the FBI and later referred by Horowitz to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia for possible criminal prosecution for allegedly lying under oath about the private server probe.

Comey was fired in May 2017, after which former FBI Director Robert Mueller was brought in to assume the FBI’s investigation into alleged Russian “collusion” with Trump campaign members and interference in the 2016 election.

So, lets keep an eye on this pattern of government-citizen’s on-going inability to vet any causal link between awful unlawful brain-thinking and criminal behavior with the upcoming INSPECTOR GENERAL Horowitz report on Rapes/raps/RICO Clintons-Comey-Lynch-Brennan-The Soetoro/Obamas-COC Holder-McCabe-Mueller et al

    3. “IG” for AG stands for “Ignorance of Government”? We’ll see if this is a third pattern; must private-citizens now oversee the overseers? IG’s started because of Watergate; should they now end with NBC-gate, email-gate, imitate-investigate et al?
