“CONDUCT OF THE CONVENTION”

by Sharon Rondeau

(Jul. 25, 2016) — At 4:49, loud booing is being heard as DNC Chairwoman Marcia Fudge is introducing the platform and purpose of the convention.

However, when Fudge said that Hillary Clinton and her running-mate, Tim Kaine, will be the next president and vice-president of the United States, there was loud cheering.

Fudge then said, “We’re Democrats; let’s act like it” and called for “orderly conduct” during the remaining proceedings.

As she introduced various convention officials, who were called to the stage, Fudge was both booed and cheered.

At 4:54 p.m., former Congressman Barney Frank took the podium and announced procedural rules and the “agenda” of the convention.  “They were fully debated with no question…” he said, invoking “conduct of the convention.”

Fudge declared that the “ayes” overpowered the “nays” for adopting the rules.
