WHEN WILL THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA TELL THE TRUTH?

(Jan. 11, 2016) — On Monday, Fox News anchor of “Your World,” Neil Cavuto, asked fellow Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren whether or not the question of Sen. Ted Cruz’s presidential eligibility is legitimate.
Van Susteren, who is an attorney, responded that Cruz apparently believed he needed to respond to the issue raised by presidential candidate Donald Trump, who stated in an interview with The Washington Post last week that the question of Cruz’s out-of-country birth needed to be addressed.
Cruz was born in Canada to a father from Cuba and reportedly to a U.S.-citizen mother. On Friday, Breitbart News released what it said was Cruz’s mother’s birth certificate showing that she was born in Delaware in 1935.
In November, Florida Rep. Alan Grayson said that he will file a lawsuit if Cruz is declared the Republican nominee because he does not believe Cruz is “an American.”
Van Susteren added that in a similar situation involving Trump in 2011, Obama felt compelled to release his long-form birth certificate, which she claimed Obama “got from Hawaii.”
She did not report that the birth certificate image posted on the White House website on April 27, 2011 was declared a “computer-generated forgery” by a law enforcement investigation, along with Obama’s Selective Service registration form, on March 1, 2012.
Without citing sources, Van Susteren opined that Cruz’s U.S. mother was likely enough to render him a “natural born Citizen,” as Article II, Section 1, clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution requires.
Sen. Marco Rubio, who is also seeking the presidency and has had his eligibility challenged, was born to Cuban-citizen parents in 1971 and therefore cannot claim to have been born to a U.S.-citizen parent.
Fox and other mainstream outlets, which are openly discussing the questions about Cruz’s eligibility while remaining silent on Obama’s questionable eligibility during the 2008 and 2012 campaign cycles, do not appear to have researched the origins of the “natural born Citizen” clause nor clarified that it is not the same as the term “Citizen,” required by the Constitution for U.S senators and representatives.
According to an article in The Los Angeles Times dated January 8, “legal experts say a child’s citizenship can be determined based on where he or she is born and who the parents are…Birthplace is the simplest test.”
However, constitutional scholar Dr. Edwin Vieira believes that in looking at the time in which the Constitution was written, “citizenship followed the father.” Also on Monday, Fordham University law professor Thomas Lee stated that Cruz is not eligible “to an originalist.”
Obama claims a Kenyan-citizen father who was a citizen of Great Britain prior to Kenya’s declaration of independence in December 1963. While his “birth certificate” states that he was born in Honolulu, HI on August 4, 1961, the lead investigator of the criminal probe into his documentation, Mike Zullo, has said that there is no evidence that Obama was ever in Hawaii before the age of five.
Zullo has also questioned Obama’s claimed parents.
Approximately 18 months ago, Fox News’s Heather Nauert stated on Bill O’Reilly’s “The Factor” that Obama’s long-form birth certificate is “absolutely legitimate,” despite the lengthy investigation carried out by the Maricopa County Cold Case Posse which remains ongoing.
