When Richard Van Waes decided to form Veteran Defenders of America, the need was great, the cause was honorable, the mission was clear…
The goal of Veteran Defenders of America was to create a nationwide volunteer network of veterans who, through education, information, training and preparedness, would forever serve as a key part of America’s front line grassroots “eyes and ears of freedom” with respect to all threats to our national sovereignty and security, our freedoms, our liberty, focused upon clear and present threats such as that of Global Communism and radical Islam.
The United States of America has always been a target of evil in the world, but has never been attacked from within; until recently. The citizens, as well as our own military in part, remain unaware of this growing threat. The current administration in Washington seems to have either a “blind eye” to the threats all around us, or openly encourage it. It’s every citizens duty to their families, their communities and to the nation we love, to be aware of these growing threats and do something about it.
All veterans swore an oath to defend the constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That oath still applies to all of us. From the beginning, Veteran Defenders of America had a goal of creating an asymmetrical army of millions of veterans.
They must learn what COMMUNISM, JIHAD and RADICAL ISLAM actually mean and how it affects all of us. Tennesseans are totally unaware that there is a radical Islamic militant training camp near Dover, Tennessee, virtually in my backyards. They are unaware of the fact that more than 35 similar terrorist training camps are scattered across American in their own backyards.
Investor’s Business Daily reported last April that The Muslim Brotherhood had formed a new U.S. Political Party with the stated purpose of “turning Muslims into an Islamist voting bloc. ‘Muslim voters have the potential to be swing voters in 2016,” said Nihad Awad in launching the benign-sounding U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations, whose membership reads like a Who’s Who of Brotherhood front groups. “We are aiming to bring more participation from the Muslim community.”
“Can any Muslim join USCMO? Nope. First you must fill out a four-page application and pass Brotherhood inspection. Then you have to cough up $1,000 a year – $3,500 if you want a voting membership.”
The Federal Government and even our State Governments are embracing these enclaves of Islamic Terror Groups as if they are a positive improvement to our communities. France is dealing with the impact these groups have on society as I write this morning. America experienced the impact of these groups on September 11, 2001… for all who seem to have forgotten.
Meanwhile, we are being stripped of our constitutionally protected Natural Rights to Life, Liberty, security and sovereignty, every minute of every day, from an increasingly despotic federal government no longer restrained by the confines of the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. Our condition has become critical…
The mission and purpose of Veteran Defenders is more important to the future of this great country than it was the day Richard formed the organization. Yet, VDA is on the brink of extinction due to lack of active involvement and financial support from my fellow veterans. How is that possible under the conditions that we face today?
It is the intent of this organization to be the natural deterrent to suppress any attempt to radicalize, terrorize or recruit the mass of citizens we call “family.” When it comes to our flag, the red, white and blue, those colors don’t run, not THEN, not NOW and not EVER, and for all of my fellow veterans, NOT ON MY WATCH.
The primary focus of VDA today is as follows…
- National Security Intelligence gathering and preparedness
- Veterans political policy lobby concerning National Security matters
- Changing Military ROE to protect our brothers in battle
- Fighting for the rights of soldiers wrongly accused of “war crimes”
- Military death investigations and family support and representation via NALC
- Military budget cuts further endangering our brothers in arms
- Domestic threat, enemy infiltration via illegal immigration & refugee resettlement
It is for these reasons that I reach out to all fellow veterans today, calling upon each of you to re-engage with us!
YOU will decide the future direction of Veteran Defenders of America!
Economic conditions are forcing us to make changes at VDA. Active financial support and active engagement in directing and carrying out the specific missions of VDA are both critical parts of belonging to VDA, or any action oriented organization.
There are three ways to belong to VDA as an active member…
- Become a LIFE Member for a one-time due of $125
- Become an annual member for $29 per year dues, both veterans and family associates
- Apply for FREE membership under personal financial hardship (Veterans Only)
At present, VDA does not have enough financial or active engagement support to continue forward as an organization. This message is a final attempt to motivate fellow veterans to engage.
For VDA to continue forward, everyone receiving this message must act to RENEW or JOIN VDA MEMBERSHIP before January 20, 2015.
Past calls for action from the veteran community have not been successful. In the event that this final call is also unsuccessful, VDA will be closed down at the end of January 2015. All paid up active VDA members as of that date will become members of a Veterans Council Division of The United States Patriots Union and additional information will be sent out to all active VDA members after January 20th.
We will send a few brief reminders between now and January 20. No additional information will be shared until after all inactive members have been purged from the VDA database following the January 20 deadline.
