(Oct. 31, 2014) — Our Right to Referendum is basic to OUR constitution. It is the only voice the people have to control LAWLESS politicians. At a past constitutional convention, that right was taken away. Yes, WE did not realize that fact or its implications. The Right to Referendum is the check and balance against LAWLESS government. Referendum means “WE the People” have the right to repeal a bad law or enact a good law through a vote on the ballot. Our loss of this right is why New York is now rated the worst place to live in America. The government can pass any law they wish without fear of consequence or retribution. As YOU are aware – bad governance in New York is happening. It is directly caused by no push-back from the people – NO Referendum possibilities.

Yes – “We the People” could fix OUR problems “IF” WE have the Right to Referendum.
ALL the incumbents in office know about OUR Right to Referendum. EVERY one of them has been asked to pledge to restore OUR Right to Referendum. NOT ONE has agreed to make that Pledge. [Karen Bisso and Peter Vazquez are the only candidates who are actively campaigning to restore OUR Right to Referendum]
ALL the incumbents in office do have the privilege of Referendum and could have used it to repeal or stop unjust laws that have been passed in the last several years – NONE – NOT ONE has even mentioned it. Not one of them has ever even tried to referendum.
ALL the current NY Senators and Assemblymen are responsible for passing a vast number of laws that WE all know are just plain crazy. New York is at the bottom and is still digging the whole deeper. NONE of them truly deserves to be reelected. Yes, some did good sometimes but bad others. NONE have the intelligence and courage required to stand against massive corruption. They ALWAYS “go along to get along” to protect their self-interests. Get it – they are ALL in this for money and perks. OUR well-being ALWAYS takes a back seat.

This election is a joke. WE WIN only if WE make a HUGE Grassroots statement. WE know the current incumbents are NOT up to the challenge to change OUR bad governance. In most cases, the challengers are weak or do not have the support of the “political machines” and will not be elected. No matter what – this will be another case where incumbents are reelected en masse. AND WE sink further into the abyss for years.
