AND WHY WON’T THEY SHOW IT?

by Sharon Rondeau

(May 22, 2012) — One year ago, blogger Butterdezillion stated that after she asked the Hawaii Department of Health for verification of a birth record for a child born on August 4, 1961, Health Department staff responded that no record could be found.  The record requested was for Virginia Sunahara, a baby girl who had lived less than one full day due to breathing problems.

She has been interred with her father in Mililani Gardens, and a death certificate was reportedly released.

The Health Department did have a record for her, as when her brother Duncan requested a copy of her birth certificate last year, he was given the short-form document. Sunahara then requested a certified copy of the long-form but was denied.  He then filed a lawsuit in Circuit Court for access to the long-form.  On March 8, 2012, Judge Rhonda Nishimura ruled in favor of the Department of Health.

Nishimura is the same judge who presided over Atty. Orly Taitz’s lawsuit against the Health Department for access to Barack Hussein Obama’s original birth certificate.  In that case, as in the Sunahara case, the Health Department was defended by Deputy Attorney General Jill Nagamine.

On page 6 of the transcript, after the judge asked Nagamine for clarification about an “assumption” Nagamine might have made, referring to her contention about the rules, Nagamine told the court, “It’s on the Internet” (page 6).

In the second part of the court transcript, Nagamine states that the law provides that “government records should be available, transparent” as a “general rule”  (page 26).  Sunahara’s attorney, Gerald Kurashima, stated that a requestor had the right to choose the form in which the government record was to be issued.  The defense argued that the health department director retains the authority to make that decision.

Other requesters prior to Sunahara’s lawsuit had obtained certified copies of their long-form birth certificates.

A press release dated the same day that Obama released his purported “long-form” birth certificate contends that Obama was granted “an exception” to the Health Department’s policy “since 2001” of producing only computer-generated short-form birth certificates to requesters.  While Hawaii Attorney General David Louie stated that Obama’s request had been handled “according to the letter of the law,” there is nothing in the law governing vital records which authorizes the Health Department Director to make such exceptions.

Immediately following the White House’s release of Obama’s alleged birth certificates, graphics and typesetting experts denounced it as a forgery, and laymen were able to see that it lacked items present in other birth certificates of people born in Hawaii at the same time as Obama allegedly was.  His short-form “Certification of Live Birth” had been labeled a forgery in 2008.  Some on the “Editorial Board” at The Washington Post have accepted both the images as “documentary evidence.”

The Hawaii Health Department has failed to issue a verification letter in keeping with HRS 338-18(b)(13)(g)(1) to Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett in response to his inquiry as to whether or not the department possesses official documentation demonstrating that Obama was born there.  Bennett did not request a copy of Obama’s birth certificate.

A researcher whose trip to Hawaii had been partially funded by The Post & Email’s Legal Fund (now defunct) had visited the Sunahara family after studying the circumstances of her birth, death, the Health Department’s obfuscation of her record and on the possibility that Virginia’s birth certificate number could have been reissued to Obama with the birth date of August 4, 1961.

Last Thursday, Breitbart.com revealed that Obama’s biography in use by his then-literary agent, Acton & Dystel, had stated that he had been born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.  Numerous researchers and writers are expressing doubt in Obama’s public life story and suggesting that his father is someone other than Barack Hussein Obama Sr.

Mike Zullo, lead investigator of the Maricopa County, AZ Cold Case Posse which determined that Obama’s long-form birth certificate is a forgery, has traveled to Hawaii with a deputy detective “to act as a liaison between MCSO and local law enforcement.”  A Hawaii newspaper article lacking an author has reported that the two men “went to the Hawaii Department of Health Monday morning requesting verification of President Barack Obama’s birth certificate.”

The article features the image of the short-form Certification of Live Birth. The investigators are seeking access to the long-form as a result of their research into the image released last April which is allegedly a certified copy of the form maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health.  The article also incorrectly states that the Cold Case Posse had been investigating “Obama’s residency status.”
