When one adds one’s zip code and address on the HR “Email Me” system it redirects to one’s local Congress Person. So letters to these individuals can only be received by their own constituents.

It is my hope that through the various investigations they are planning to conduct, they are going to be looking for a smoking gun to get people under oath. It is my feeling that they do not want to take the eligibility issue head on but rather find a back door to get it on the table. My feeling is that it is more about the Military right now and the “race riots” is an excuse. I really do believe there are people sitting in Congress that are disturbed about this as much as we are. It is my hope they want to get criminal charges against him first and then go from there. We shall see in due time.

I hope people boo him at the State of The Union. I hope people will sit on there hands and stare him down.

Dear Mrs. Rondeau,

Thank you very much for providing this contact list on P&E. This is an extremely valuable tool in the fight to save the Republic. This letter (and phone call) campaign could spread like wild fire across the Internet and blogosphere. This needs to be a massive, cohesive and unrelenting effort if we are ever going to expose and dethrone the usurper.
The new 112 Congress members must be convinced of “We the People’s” requirement, and the extreme importance, of them taking up the eligibility issue (a congressional investigation with full subpoena power) with all due haste.
It will take an incredible amount of courage and moral fortitude for them to go against the establishment. If we can show them en masse that this course of action is what “We the People” demand of them and that they have our undying support and devotion, then maybe they will force the issue…We may never have an opportunity like this again.
Thank you for ALL you do in this fight. You are a true Patriot!

Did anyone see ABC’s interview with speakerJohn B ? If so, millions of Americans have come to the realization that no one in Washington, including the honorable speaker, are willing to seek truth and justice for all…..He believes what he is told, not by what the facts prove….I am lost for what this country has become… When good men cry at the loss of the American dream yet, back down from doing what is honorable….

This is what the Wikipedia says about the natural born citizenship:

from Wiki natural born citizen

A 1797 English-language edition of the 1758 treatise The Law of Nations by Swiss legal philosopher Emmerich de Vattel states the requirements to be “natural-born citizens” as “those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.”[6] However this translation was not available at the time the Constitution was written. Earlier English-language editions of this book printed prior to the Convention in 1787, however, lacked the term “natural-born citizens”, using the term “natives” along with the untranslated French term “indigènes” instead.[

Presidential candidates whose eligibility was questioned

While every President and Vice President to date (as of 2010[update]) is widely believed either to have been a citizen at the adoption of the Constitution in 1789 or to have been born in the United States, one U.S. President (Chester A. Arthur) and some presidential candidates either were not born or were suspected of not having been born in a U.S. state.[33] In addition, one U.S. Vice President (Albert Gore) was born in Washington, D.C. This does not necessarily mean that they were ineligible, only that there was some controversy (usually minor) about their eligibility, which may have been resolved in favor of eligibility.[34]

* Chester A. Arthur (1829–1886), 21st president of the United States, was rumored to have been born in Canada.[35][36] This was never demonstrated by his Democratic opponents, although Arthur Hinman, an attorney who had investigated Arthur’s family history, raised the objection during his vice-presidential campaign and after the end of his Presidency. Arthur was born in Vermont to a U.S. citizen mother and a father from Ireland, who was eventually naturalized as a U.S. citizen. Despite the fact that his parents took up residence in the United States somewhere between 1822 or 1824,[37] Chester Arthur additionally began to claim between 1870 and 1880[38] that he had been born in 1830, rather than in 1829, which only caused minor confusion and was even used in several publications.[39] Arthur was sworn in as president when President Garfield died after being shot. Since his Irish father William was naturalized 14 years after Chester Arthur’s birth,[40] his citizenship status at birth is unclear, because he was born before the 1868 ratification of the 14th Amendment, which provided that any person born on United States territory and being subject to the jurisdiction thereof was considered a born U.S. citizen, and because he was a British subject at birth by patrilineal jus sanguinis.[41] Arthur’s natural born citizenship status is therefore equally unclear.

* The eligibility of Charles Evans Hughes (1862–1948) was questioned in an article written by Breckinridge Long, and published in the Chicago Legal News during the U.S. presidential election of 1916, in which Hughes was narrowly defeated by Woodrow Wilson. Long claimed that Hughes was ineligible because his father had not yet naturalized at the time of his birth and was still a British citizen. Observing that Hughes, although born in the United States, was also a British subject and therefore “enjoy[ed] a dual nationality and owe[d] a double allegiance”, Long argued that a native born citizen was not natural born without a unity of U.S. citizenship and allegiance and stated: “Now if, by any possible construction, a person at the instant of birth, and for any period of time thereafter, owes, or may owe, allegiance to any sovereign but the United States, he is not a ‘natural born’ citizen of the United States.”[42]

* George Romney (1907–1995), who ran for the Republican party nomination in 1968, was born in Mexico to U.S. parents. Romney’s grandfather had emigrated to Mexico in 1886 with his three wives and children after Utah outlawed polygamy. Romney’s monogamous parents retained their U.S. citizenship and returned to the United States with him in 1912. Romney never received Mexican citizenship, because the country’s nationality laws had been restricted to jus-sanguinis statutes due to prevailing politics aimed against American settlers.[43] George Romney therefore had no allegiance to a foreign country.

* Barry Goldwater (1909–1998) was born in Phoenix, in what was then the incorporated Arizona Territory of the United States. During his presidential campaign in 1964, there was a minor controversy over Goldwater’s having been born in Arizona when it was not yet a state.[35]

* Lowell Weicker (born 1931), the former Connecticut Senator, Representative, and Governor, entered the race for the Republican party nomination of 1980 but dropped out before voting in the primaries began. He was born in Paris, France to parents who were U.S. citizens. His father was an executive for E. R. Squibb & Sons and his mother was the Indian-born daughter of a British general.[44]

* Róger Calero (born 1969) was born in Nicaragua and ran as the Socialist Worker’s Party presidential candidate in 2004 and 2008. In 2008, Calero appeared on the ballot in Delaware, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York and Vermont.[45]

With so much research being done on the issue, do we have a good answer to this?

Wikipedia is an Obama tool. For a better historical perspective of the term “natural born citizen” and our founding fathers’ understanding of that term, I would recommend you start with comment #9 at this FreeRepublic thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2619619/posts. A few excerpts:

“SCOTUS, in an 1887 case cites Vattel a number of times and reitterates that his work was translated into English in 1760:
“Vattel in his Law of Nations, which was first printed at Neuchatel in 1758, and was translated into English and published in England in 1760″ U S v. ARJONA, 120 U.S. 479 (1887)”

(Obviously, Wikipedia is giving false information; the founding fathers did in fact have plenty of time to acquaint themselves with Vattel’s Law of Nations in both French and ENGLISH. It should also be pointed out that several founding fathers, including Tom Jefferson and Ben Franklin, could speak and/or read French).

Another excerpt:

“Thomas Jefferson (for one example) had the 1758 version as well as a 1775 version in his own library:
Thomas Jefferson’s Library: A Catalog with the Entries in His Own Order (under a section he titled “Ethics. Law of Nature and Nations.”)”

(Again, Wikipedia is clearly giving false information, as Thomas Jefferson’s preserved notes in fact record a 1775 edition of Vattel’s “Law of Nations.”)

I hope all will check out this post. It’s amazing, compiled from the contributions of several FReepers. Many, many links to source material too.

Gary’s list did not include fax numbers and if you can fax, you don’t have to be a constituent…an updated list of fax numbers for all members of congress and senate is available at http://www.conservativeusa.org/mega-cong.htm plus I posted all kinds of contact info including fax numbers for governors, lt. governors, attorneys general, secretaries of state, etc. at http://www.stamppeeve.com under the link for “Presidential Eligibility”. Just scroll down past the open letters (use those too if you wish) for the contact info. and copy whatever you want.

Can anyone get ahold of a Congressman’s BlackBerry number (Most Congressmen have a BlackBerry) and post it?

What we really need is just one cell-phone or direct line number to one of these Congressman. Mostly likely fellow Congressman and close Congressman staff persons have this number but if we could get our hands on it, the issue would be settled.
