(Oct. 13, 2026) — The Vaccine Safety Research Foundation (VSRF), founded in 2021 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Steve Kirsch, will interview a COVID-19-era “hospital insider” during its weekly broadcast this evening.
The program begins at 4:00 p.m. PDT/7:00 p.m. EDT.
VSRF’s newsletter announcing the show reads, in part:
What happens when hospital protocol takes precedence over the individual patient?
Dr. James Miller witnessed that transformation firsthand during COVID. A board-certified surgeon with extensive experience in trauma and surgical critical care, Miller was practicing at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Washington—the hospital that treated the first officially identified COVID-19 case in the United States.
As the pandemic unfolded, Miller says he watched individualized medical judgment and patient-centered care increasingly give way to rigid protocols. COVID patients were isolated from their families. Layers of PPE created barriers between critically ill patients and their caregivers. Patients were treated with drugs, heavy sedation and mechanical ventilation under protocols that Miller came to believe were causing harm.
Formerly of Washington State and now practicing in South Florida, Miller detailed poignantly his pandemic experiences at a livestreamed roundtable held on September 28, 2026 by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) on “COVID-19 Hospital Protocols.”
The video of the four-hour session is here, with Miller’s remarks beginning at approximately the 30-minute mark.
Miller’s bio at his WebMD page states, in part:
Dr. James Miller, MD has dedicated his life to helping others through medicine, driven by a deep commitment to making a meaningful impact. With over two decades of experience as a General Surgeon and Trauma/Critical Care Surgeon, Dr. Miller has seen firsthand the importance of addressing the whole person—not just symptoms or diagnoses. His belief in whole-person care has transformed his own health and continues to positively influence the lives of the many patients he has served throughout his career.
Johnson is the only U.S. senator who has heard publicly from those who suffered illness and disability after receiving a COVID-19 “vaccine.” Having hosted previous roundtables stemming from the pandemic as well as appearing as a VSRF guest, Johnson continues to investigate what former NIAID Director Dr. Anthony S. Fauci and his associates acknowledged privately while informing the public that the shots were “safe and effective.”
During the September 28 roundtable, multiple physicians decried U.S. health agencies’ discouraging of alternative treatments such as hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, vitamin therapy and monoclonal antibodies.
Miller’s upcoming discussion with Kirsch is titled, “When Protocol Replaces Patient Care.”
