The Judge of all the earth made Christ our judge to render Him due honor.

(Sep. 30, 2026) — Who is Jesus?
For generations, the Church boldly proclaimed, “He is Lord!” Jesus and the Father are one. Jesus is God.
Not so much anymore. A survey last year found that 70% of evangelical Christians stand with Islam in saying Jesus was a good teacher, even a prophet, and that is all.
Harbor the wrong idea about God, and you have the world we live in: Violent, corrupt, hell-bent.
If the Church is going to turn the world upside down, as it did in the apostles’ lifetime, we must recover what Jesus came to give us: “an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life” (1 John 5:20).
We must revive the faith of our fathers, who exalted Jesus as “true God from true God.”
This is the first in a series of five articles in which I reassert why we must believe that Jesus is God. I intend to be logical but am not arguing from logic. My purpose is to glean from Scripture how Jesus declared His deity, the disciples believed Him, and passed this faith to us.
May this refute those who contend that Jesus never said He was God, nor did His disciples believe it. May the truth kindle a fire in our hearts for the true and living God once more.
This is a lightly edited version of the article as published by IM Writer’s Association.
