(Mar. 17, 2026) — “They stumbled upon a Quonset hut. Imagine that in the middle of the proverbial nowhere. They tried to communicate the discovery, but their communications somehow mysteriously failed. Sam got the creepy feeling that they weren’t going to make it back.”
“And that’s my opening. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ the place to hear it here first. Tonight I’ve a treat for you, a play by yours truly at my church down on Hawthorn Street. The hall is packed. Let the play begin.
“The house lights dim as the curtain opens to the stage set as a moonscape to the music of ‘A Space Odyssey’ (1:10). There are two actors dressed in spacesuits with the visor of the helmets removed entering from stage left. Off to their left, painted on the backdrop are craters and rocky outcrops of the moon with a Quonset hut about a quarter of a mile away. Sam holds up his hand for Ken to stop.”
“Tell me I’m seeing things, but what the heck is that? That’s not supposed to be here. No one has ever explored this part of the moon before us.”
“Someone did. Who do you think brought all of that up here? It sure wasn’t us.”
“Or anybody else we know.”
“Or when.”
“What do you mean by ‘or when?’”
“I mean if we didn’t build that, and if the Russians or the Chinese didn’t build it, maybe none of us did, okay?”
“Then who, LGMs*?”
“Maybe there were people on the earth millions of years ago and they did it.”
“Impossible.”
“Not impossible, especially since what we’re seeing is real. I think we better call this in.”
“I think we better keep it to ourselves.”
“Don’t trust the government?”
“Would you?”
“Not as far as I could throw them.”
“Then we’re agreed; we keep this to ourselves. Mum’s the word.”
“Amen.”
“The curtain lowers to the song ‘In the Year 2525’ (3:16) as the house lights brighten. Pastor Dunkin comes out from the center of the curtain and addresses the audience.”
“From your applause I gathered you enjoyed our little skit. Now about our government: Chuck Schumer and Jamie Raskin are part of it, besides Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar. We’ve very bad and untrustworthy actors in our government.
“And speaking of our government, it is founded on honest elections, not what happened in 2020. Many lives will have been lost and ruined by the Dems’ open border policy during the Biden/Miss Cackle/Mayorkas years.
“This play was about preconceived notions, about reaching conclusions before the facts are in. The fact of the matter is President Trump is doing what our country has needed for generations. Trump can’t be bought, and that’s the bottom line no Democratic politician can match, and many RINOs, too.
“Now as far as finding proof that earthlings have previously visited the moon before us, only time will tell. Thank you for attending our little play.
“Goodnight.”
