(Sep. 12, 2025) — “I think with a high degree of certainty, we have him,” President Trump told the three co-hosts of “Fox & Friends” of the assassin of Turning Point USA co-founder and podcaster Charlie Kirk on Wednesday in Orem, Utah.

As previously announced, Trump appeared in-person on the program Friday morning at the top of the 8:00 a.m. hour.

“Somebody close to him turned him in,” Trump further said of the killer.

“It was a minister, and the minister…who’s involved in law enforcement,” he said. “His good friend is a top U.S. marshal, and they took it from there…a father got involved and said, ‘We’ve gotta go in…'”

At the outset, Trump said he would qualify everything with “I think” to avoid litigation from reporting errors.

“He’s there now” at “police headquarters,” Trump said.

Trump had a personal relationship with Kirk and said he was tremendously gifted. His wife, Erika, is a “talented writer,” Trump said. “So maybe they’ll keep it going,” he said of TPUSA.
