Charlie Kirk

(Sep. 11, 2025) — There are a lot of words which come to mind describing Charlie Kirk’s assassination yesterday: shocking, horrifying, unbelievable, stunning, paralyzing, hateful. Things that don’t: self-inflicted, just reward, righteous, etc. And yet, those and worse have been used in conjunction with zealous, celebratory outbursts by some who clearly believe they are engaged in some kind of freedom fight. I have news for them: when history is recorded, freedom fighters most often are emblazoned as terrorists.

The dirtbag who took Charlie’s Life, Erika’s Husband and their children’s Father, a loyal friend and the Church’s Brother, is not a Freedom Fighter or even a Terrorist. He has no just cause, no legitimate complaint, no acceptable actionable recourse, no apology due, no recompense, no excuse. What he does have coming is an almost certain rendezvous with death. Now, maybe he has already factored that into his seedy little plan or maybe he hasn’t. But it’s inevitable.

There has been a lot of speculation about this turd’s prowess with a long gun, fueling larger theories including deep conspiratorial operations laid out with specificity and great care. Let’s take a look at what we have been given to date:

The distance from his shooting position to Kirk is 200 yards. In the shooting community, both competitive and professional, 200 yards is a gimme range; not immediately suggestive of a “well-trained operator” as too many are saying. There is almost zero effect on flight path by wind, air density or light refraction at that range. This means no additional exterior ballistics comp and work-up would need to be done in advance or on the fly. Additionally, the rifle has been tentatively ID’d as a Mauser action (possibly a sporterized/modified Gewehr KAR 98a based on the released picture and said to be 30-caliber) as “30- caliber,” i.e., 308 or 30-06, both of which are very stable rounds.

It is beginning to appear the shooter is just another basement-dweller with some firearm knowledge.

1. He assumed a shooting position that left him exposed to viewing

2. He left palm and forearm print evidence.

3. It is said he scrawled pro-Trans and ANTIFA messages on the cartridge cases he left in the internal magazine.

4. He discarded the rifle near the site in an adjacent wooded lot.

5. He egressed, on foot, through a built-up residential area at a time when most houses have at least one camera doorbell.

None of this indicates ANY level of professionalism or training, much less self-awareness.

While others may have gathered to fantasize with him, none of what we know to date suggests a well-organized conspiracy having employed this lackluster turd to put a hit on Charlie Kirk.

As others have already pointed out, this nation can only be defined as bifurcated, with one side eagerly fomenting violence and the other still trying to reason with the other. Charlie Kirk spent most of his life trying to reason with a largely incalcitrant opposition, to share the Gospel and to be a good Husband, Father, Christian and Patriot.

He was murdered, I suspect, for being all of those. Ironically, the Basement-Dweller removed one of the few people who was willing to talk instead of taking a defensive posture first.
