(Aug. 4, 2025) — On Sunday a Truth Social account-holder experiencing unexplained trouble using the platform encountered yet another obstacle.
As we reported Thursday, after approximately six months of virtually uneventful posting, without warning the user was presented with the necessity to complete a “Captcha” verification when signing in. As of yesterday, however, he reported having to complete Captcha forms both when logging in and signing out.
According to Cloudflare, “A CAPTCHA test is designed to determine if an online user is really a human and not a bot. CAPTCHA is an acronym that stands for ‘Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart.’ Users often encounter CAPTCHA and reCAPTCHA tests on the Internet. Such tests are one way of managing bot activity, although the approach has its drawbacks.”
Truth Social Support initially suggested the problem was on the user’s end, but a thorough technical troubleshooting by the user’s internet provider found the problem to reside solely with Truth Social, as no other website produced the same results.
On Thursday, the account-holder described the situation:
I keep encountering Captchas at multiple stages: when I open the sign-in page, again after signing in, and then once more when I try to access DMs. From there, Captchas continue to appear every 3–5 minutes or whenever I attempt to post, comment, reply, or share.
Additionally, anytime I try to tag Trump, a “legal request” message appears at the top and prevents me from posting. If I visit his profile, I see a “syntax error” message at the top of the page.
When I’m composing a comment or post, about half the time I receive an error saying I’m posting too quickly and need to wait. Once that message disappears, any keystroke I make causes it to immediately reappear. Although the tagged links remain highlighted, the person being tagged never receives a notification.
At times he has encountered a screen claiming the site was down.
On Sunday, however, another screen appeared. “An unexpected error occurred,” the message states. “We’re sorry for the interruption. If the problem persists, please reach out to our support team…”

As of press time, the user has not received another response from Truth Social.
Update, August 5, 2025, 9:25 a.m. EDT: Truth Social responded to the user early this morning with several questions and the expressed desire to restore full functionality.
