Dear Editor,
Relative to population, the Jewish people are God’s and/or Mother Nature’s greatest gift to Western society when you look at their great, so-great contributions to ‘social justice’; the arts, music, medicine, technology, democracy, the law, academia, military development and application, civilization, etc., etc.
Some 2,000 Jewish Anzacs served in WWI, with over 200 of them killed in action!
History must never forget the great pioneer implementor of the air, armor, and infantry “blitz”, Jewish-Australian General Sir John Monash’s (first large-scale, non-American commander of American troops in WWI) great sense of humour on a large military parade of Anzac troops in which he quipped, “A heavy dew has fallen!” after another very senior Jewish-Australian officer fell off his horse during the parade. Monash’s quip brought spontaneous roars of laughter from the assembled Diggers, not to mention even greater appreciation and respect of the Diggers and other officers.

Australia’s greatest-ever larrikin was neither champion Aussie cricketer Shane Warne nor former Sydney Harbour Bridge maintenance painter and comedian/actor Paul Hogan! No, it was WWII RAAF war hero, Jewish-Australian bomber commander Peter Isaacson, who flew a huge RAAF bomber under Sydney Harbour Bridge…surviving court martial threats!
