(May 16, 2025) — In a preview of an interview with President Donald Trump to air in full at 6:00 p.m. Friday, on this morning’s “Fox & Friends” at approximately 8:14 a.m., Bret Baier of “Special Report” was shown to have claimed to Trump that former FBI Director James Comey “apologized” for a tweet he issued Thursday interpreted by many as a call for Trump’s demise.
In an engagement during which both Baier and Trump were seen leaning forward in their chairs with heads down, Baier asked Trump if he thought Comey “knew” what the numerals “86 47” “meant,” to which Trump responded that while Comey was not an effective FBI director, he had to have been aware of the sinister nature of it.
“That meant ‘assassination,” Trump told Baier. “It says it loud and clear…”

“But he did apologize…,” Baier replied as Trump talked over him.
“I think it’s a terrible thing, and when you add his history to that…he’s a dirty cop, and if he had a clean history, I could understand if there was a leniency…, ” Trump responded, while stating he does not wish to issue an opinion as to any governmental action which might be taken.
Two assassination attempts on Trump occurred last year as he campaigned for a second term in the White House. On July 13 during a rally in Butler, PA, a 20-year-old climbed on a nearby rooftop and fired eight bullets, injuring Trump and two others and killing former firefighter Corey Comperatore.
The assassin was killed by a U.S. Secret Service sniper.
On September 16 a man aimed a rifle through some shrubbery toward where Trump was golfing at his club in West Palm Beach, FL. Ryan Routh is accused of attempting to assassinate a presidential candidate and two firearms charges, the latter of which his attorney has asked the government to drop.
After the tweet went viral, Comey proffered the explanation that he “saw” the seashell “formation” while taking a walk on the beach and interpreted it to have “political” significance. “I didn’t realize some folks associate those numbers with violence,” he wrote on his X and Instagram accounts. “It never occurred to me but I oppose violence of any kind so I took the post down.”
The follow-up post remains on his Instagram as of this writing alongside a photo of Comey reading one of his “legal thrillers” in a chair on the beach.
Comey, whose Instagram account reflects approximately 133,000 followers, has written several crime-related books since his firing by Trump in May 2017 which he promotes heavily on Instagram and a dedicated website.

Unknown to this writer until last night, “86” in some circles signifies disposing of something or someone. On Friday morning after airing the clip, Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt said it can mean being “out” of something, as she learned while working as a waitress in regard to an out-of-stock item. Wikipedia confirms that interpretation and others, including as a reference Cassell’s Dictionary of Slang.
As pointed out by “Outkick” founder and attorney Clay Travis on “Jesse Watters Primetime” Thursday night, Comey, who was a Republican in past years but has recently embraced Democrats running for office, posted a photo of a painted seashell with the words, “Vote Harris” prior to the November 5, 2024 election.
“Saw this at the beach,” Comey wrote on October 10. “Ariel understands the assignment.”

Wikipedia states Comey’s wife’s name is Patrice. There is no hint as to who “Ariel” is in the thread responsive to the photo at the time nor elsewhere on the internet that this writer was able to locate.
According to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and FBI Director Kash Patel Thursday evening, Comey is under investigation for the tweet, which will involve the U.S. Secret Service.

Such a fuss!
I surmise that there are other codes, besides “86” ‘out there’ that mean the same thing, that are known among the assassins of the FBI, CIA, deep state, foreign, et al.
Observation: There is no doubt in my military mind that President Trump has as many potential assassins waiting in the wing, number-wise, that equal the many actions that he has currently taken to quell the deep state or those that he has intended to enact.
Comey needs to be in jail pending further investigation. All his electronics should be confiscated, conversations he has had with other people in the last several months tracked, and the sweetest irony, FISA warrants to tracks all his associations.
Tyrus, on Gutfeld, made an excellent point. Given two assassination attempts, how do we know this is not a call to arms for assassins? He needs to be investigated immediately.
