(Mar. 5, 2025) — White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt began Wednesday’s briefing by excoriating the behavior of many Democrats at Tuesday night’s presidential address to Congress.

Shortly after Trump began to speak, Rep. Al Green (D-TX9) shouted at the podium and declined to be seated when Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA14) requested it. Following that, Johnson ordered the sergeant-at-arms to remove Green.

An attorney and former 26-year justice of the peace, on “X” Green recently championed the causes of Ukraine in the wake of Russia’s 2022 invasion and blacks impacted by slavery. His website biography states his “family taught him the importance of positive preparation through education and righteous resistance to overcome persistent injustice.”

Green was the first member of the House of Representatives to introduce articles of impeachment against Trump in 2017 in which he claimed Trump was “associating the majesty and dignity of the presidency with causes rooted in white supremacy, bigotry, racism, anti-semitism, white nationalism, and neo-nazism.”

On Wednesday morning, Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA4) introduced a resolution to censure Green for his behavior, describing it as having “disrupted the proceedings of the joint address” and “a breach of proper conduct.”

According to CBS News, “The resolution was introduced as ‘privileged,’ which forces the House to vote on the matter within two legislative days.”

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA7) walked out as Trump spoke to voice her objection to job cuts occurring from recommendations from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) led by entrepreneur Elon Musk, a “special government employee” working for no compensation.

Democrats’ conduct was “completely disgraceful,” Leavitt said, giving rise to “the most shameful moment in American history.”

“Democrat members of Congress screamed at the president of the United States,” she went on, and “disrespected the American people.”

“Democrats didn’t stand for an innocent and beautiful child who is surviving brain cancer,” she recounted of 13-year-old D.J. Daniel of Texas, who has reportedly undergone multiple surgeries and defied the dire prognosis he was given “more than six years ago,” according to Trump.

“They couldn’t even clap for two mothers whose daughters were killed by illegal aliens,” Leavitt recounted, referring to Alexis Nungaray, the mother of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray of Houston, who was murdered by two illegal aliens with ties to the group Tren de Aragua, and Alison and Laura, the mother and sister of 22-year-old Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, killed by another TDA-associated illegal alien.

The first bill Trump signed into law in his new term is titled the “Laken Riley Act,” which “amends the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) to provide an additional category of aliens who are subject to mandatory detention.”

Trump announced he signed an executive order earlier Tuesday renaming a Texas wildlife refuge for Nungaray, who reportedly loved animals and “nature.” According to KHOU, the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge will become the “Jocelyn Nungaray National Wildlife Refuge.”

After making the declaration, Trump held up the signed order.

They “cheered for Ukraine, not for America,” Leavitt said of the Democrats in attendance. She further characterized their hostility as “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” defined in Wikipedia as “a pejorative term, used to describe criticism of or negative reactions to President Donald Trump that are perceived to be irrational and to have little regard for Trump’s actual policy positions.[1] The term has mainly been used by Trump supporters to discredit criticism of him, as a way of reframing the discussion by suggesting that his opponents are incapable of accurately perceiving the world.[2][3] Some journalists have used the term to call for restraint when judging Trump’s statements and actions.[4][5][6]

“The mainstream media still doesn’t get it,” Leavitt went on, referencing on-air MSNBC commentary between Rachel Maddow and Nicolle Wallace in which Maddow remarked, “For the record, and this is disgusting, the president made a spectacle out of praising a young man who thus far survived pediatric cancer, as if the president had something to do with that.”

“President Trump wasn’t divisive; the Democrats were,” Leavitt continued. “It’s sad and frankly pathetic…”

All the Democrats should be censured for their despicable and childish behavior.

The liberal US Senators and US Representatives who behaved as three-year-old children last evening have collective terminal TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome). Their behavior appears to display a circular firing squad trait – self-destructive in its own right.
