(Feb. 8, 2025) — On Friday evening, former “X” account-holder, business owner, publisher and author Johannes Froebel-Parker reported having received a signed receipt for a second certified letter he sent to X CEO Elon Musk protesting the platform’s sudden closure of his two accounts.

As The Post & Email has reported, in late December Froebel-Parker’s two X accounts, one of which had the “verified” blue checkmark and had been used to purchase advertising and a subscription on the platform, were suspended and removed without warning or an explanation other than that they allegedly lacked “authenticity” and committed “multiple or repeat violations of the X Rules: https://x.com/rules.”

Beginning December 29, the day of the suspensions, and continuing through last week, Froebel-Parker’s numerous appeals garnered only a series of automated email responses which shed no light on the reason the accounts were closed. Therefore, on January 20 he resorted to sending a handwritten letter to Musk requesting his assistance in restoring his voice on the site, purchased in October 2022 for $44 billion with the pledge of restoring free speech for all, short of legal violations.

Froebel-Parker’s first attempt to contact Musk at X’s new headquarters in Bastrop, TX resulted in the U.S. Postal Service informing him there was no one to sign the requested receipt. He had planned to send a follow-up letter without requiring a return receipt but thought better of it and was rewarded with a signature Friday evening.

The signature appears to bear the last name “Kennedy” and the date of receipt January 30 or 31.

On Wednesday, Froebel-Parker noted a different “tone” in the online response he received from X “Support” stating it would “continue our review” of his two cases rather than insisting, as it had before, the matter was closed or that he could file another appeal.

“If you have more details you think we should know, please respond to this email to send them our way. We appreciate your help!” the message concluded.

Froebel-Parker has not received further communication from X since Wednesday. “The new tone in their latest missive inviting additional information may have been a result of the handwritten letters having been received at X headquarters in Texas,” he noted Friday evening. “I was very surprised and pleased! More details will surely transpire and I think the warmer electronic response recently was probably a product of his having received the letter! :).”

Perhaps no more emails will be received as the physical letter has arrived at X headquarters. Will share when and if a written response is forthcoming.
