Trump on Drones: “The Government Knows What is Happening”

“SOMETHING STRANGE IS GOING ON”

(Dec. 16, 2024) — During a wide-ranging press conference late Monday morning at Mar-a-Lago, President-Elect Donald J. Trump said the government” is aware of the origin of numerous drones sighted by individuals on both coasts, including by former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and at least one journalist.

Despite its knowledge, the government “for some reason” does not wish to level with the American people, Trump claimed.

“Our military knows where they took off from,” he said. “I can’t imagine it was the enemy…Something strange is going on,” he added.

His statements on the subject came at approximately 11:58 a.m. EST after reporters asked questions about vaccines and mandates, the Ukraine-Russia war, the deposing of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad and many others.

He noted drones “happened to be over Bedminster,” Trump’s summer home and golf course, and said he “canceled his trip” there as a result.

When the reporter followed up to ask if he had been briefed on the drones, he replied with, “No comment.”

The Biden regime claims it is unaware of the origin of the drones but has attempted to assure the public there is no “threat.”

“I want to assure the American public that we in the federal government have deployed additional resources, personnel, technology to assist the New Jersey State Police in addressing the drone sightings,” Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said on “This Week” with George Stephanopoulos. “I want to assure the American public that we are on it.”

The presser commenced with Trump introducing Softbank CEO Masayoshi Son and his pledge to invest $100 billion in the United States over the ensuing four years. After Son made his own remarks and left the podium, Trump launched a soliloquy during which he criticized Biden’s announced plan to sell materials from the unfinished southern border wall built during his first administration.

The items being sold at pennies on the dollar, Trump said, will cost considerably more today than they did at the time they were purchased.

After nearly an hour of responding to questions and one in particular about Russia, Trump said he had enjoyed a “good relationship” with president Vladimir Putin despite the “hoax” perpetrated by the FBI and media falsely claiming his 2016 campaign “colluded” with the Russian government to secure a favorable election outcome.

Transitioning quickly, Trump remarked, as to the current geopolitical situation and the 2020 presidential contest after which Biden was declared the winner, “If it were an honorable election, we wouldn’t have had any of the problems we have right now.”
